Its done, have to escalate on FB and X, social media team got engaged. They sent an engineer home to just set it up. But they are not that welcoming to share information. I had to ask him for everything username, pass, port no which bridge mode is disabled.
Next i have to setup jio also on home router. Need to configure it on my own Gpon.
Reading to figure out how to go about the same. I have Model no JCO4032, Its RSN is weird starts with RSTO need to figure out how to get the serial no details to get it running.
Why did they send a technician I wonder. Usually, these people donāt know jack all they do is run speed test and say internet is working, and most people I know who got it enabled from the backend team by remote accessing the router and they email you the LAN port number.
I guess your case was handled by a bad team.
I also want to put my own router by that is a battle for the future.
They logged a ticket to setup Static Ip all engineers were calling for the same. when i said bridge mode they said saar without static IP bridge mode does not work. Post which i did social media escalation and then they sent someone specifically at home to check and set it up. Not sure why they did. Few people called me from backend team and i told them what i wanted. As long as its done itās ok. 2 days of efforts paid off.
The hardware i bought to use with Airtel, will now be setup with Jio.
I wanted some help regarding the airtel router,
I have a spare huawei router from an old airtel connection that hasnāt been used for a while.
can I use this as a repeater for my other airtel connection? I have a cat6 lan cable setup between where the first router is located and where the second one is needed. I also want to connect a pc via lan to the second router.
Is this possible? also apologies if unrelated to bridge mode
They said the same thing, this same script, when I asked for IPv6 enablement. These CS execs are doing what they are trained to say. They donāt understand these terms.
For me it was a one-day process, I emailed CS, they spoke this pre-written script. I emailed appellate, evening they called me and said they have enabled IPv6.
can I use this as a repeater for my other airtel connection?
Yeah, just use it in AP mode, and turn off dhcp, and plug your cat cable into one of the LAN ports. Or buy a TP link switch for 1700 Rs
Is it possible in Jio ? Bridge mode.
No No No No No No ( min post 10 characters)
Brdr airtel to enable bridge mode on lan port 4 through email, they called me and said bridge mode is enabled but lan port 4 is not getting power and no light on lan port 4. Internet is also not working. Nothing changed in WAN page. Is port binding necessary while enabling bridge mode ?
Check Port 3, it may be enabled on that. Had gone through similar situation earlier.
You donāt know how bridge mode works?
