Microsoft contributes more to GNU/Linux

Source: Microsoft Moves To Optimize Linux On Hyper-V

I hate to say it, but seems that in these days of recession, the goliath is told to take care of David and not just that, but support it as well. All and all its win-win for Open Source movement.

Aint that a cunning business move? The code shared is to encourage runnig linx in the HyperVisor. Which will strictly run on Win2008 server. The licencing cost for which (with hyperV) is exorbitant.

Linux anyway used to at least run on HyperV, and people were using it. So its just a matter of trying to look like a good clean boy and trying to sell the Win Server with HyperV.

PS: I am not anti M$ i love these guys, heck I make a living with their tools. I just appreciated a good business move.
