hello.. this thread has been initiated for putting here the new rigs TE members r gonna buy now onwards.. All new is coming forth from july 24th onwards unfolding new prices, technology and desires.. i am sure there r many desperate souls here who have been waiting endlessly for long for these days to arrive.. me being one of them so i am trying to assimilate all the new rigs we all may buy and make an account of them for comparisons, discussions, performance, price n recomendations.. i guess this will be of great help for everyone to refer to before buying.. also, the mods and all those enthusiasts here in TE shall be the first buyers.. (probably) so again, best rigs and hence comparisons shall be available for all of us.. (this thread has been initiated lil early than it should have been, but this way we shall not miss any information as n when it arrives..)
just wanna suggest few rules, if we all follow while putting our rigs n replies..
Name your rigs. some special name representing your name with proc name n an addon name to distinguish it from others.. y? cos later in discussion one can always refer n compare n send their replies pointing out one.. that shall make the process easy..
Put the prices in front of each component of rig..
If possible put the name , location of the shop/seller you have bought this rig from.
Specify the date you have bought the rig on..
Your immediate reactions and experiences from this new rig are welcome..
watever, even if you won’t mention all the above said, TE members will dig it out of you.. but lets see how this turns out..

well here we talking about the new arrivals of AM2, C2D and reduced priced X2s etc.. i guess yours should not be either of them, cos all is yet to happen.. 24th being the date, after that we expect all to arrive.. but since you have asked, you can mention about your rig, telling all the details i have mentioned in the first post above.. we can understand that u have bought before 24th and shall not depict the prices n combi we r expecting.. but still go ahead..
Guys, you got him wrong (at least I THINK you got him wrong).
He wants to know who all buy their reigs (mainly proccies, mobos,) after the release of Conroe and seeing the new low prices for older proccies and all that…

C2D wont be available easily for quite sometime, as Intel is planning to finish off thier Pentium D stocks first. As we know AMD and Intel always dump thier low end stock in India and China, because low end product sells a lot here. E.g. AMD Sempron 2600+ and 2800+ will be available for quite some time, even AMD stopped thier production and shipping around a month ago. Also, Intel C2D will be around 30-40% max of thier all thier shipped products from 24th july to the end of this year. Rest all will be still Pentium Ds. This 30-40% stocks will be eaten away by branded computer manufacturers. There was a story covered on it in Channeltimes.
Dont expect to visit Lam. Road and already have a conroe waiting for you. I suppose there will be a need to give a special order before hand.
we can either have this thread closed now and have it reopened post 24th or have a seperate c2d and am2 section in the showoff subforum.(or both in 1 section).
what magnet says is absolutely right we have already seen huge dumping of 533mhz bus based p4’s here even before intel announced the product in the US.i guess c2d will be available only by september after all. till then we will dished pentium D 805’s and single cores.
well.. thats right.. my purpose to open this thread was to basically target c2d procy, AM2, Reduced price purchases of X2s etc.. all that stuff which will bear the market consequences of price or technology after 24th precisely.. cos many of us r waiting for this time for we can buy new rigs and have kept upgrades on hold for long now.. so this thread can be a good reference for all of us to relate, analyse who buys what, where, @ how much , what time etc.. if C2D availability will be by sept, then many would consider buying an AMD.. y not if prices reduce?.. secondly, i just talked to one of wholesellers in Nehru Place.. i asked him if i would want to place a speacial order for C2D, could he get one for me, if i pay advance etc.. well, yes, he can do that… then y won’t we TE members go for a bulk buy, if there r couple of us who would want C2D now, i.e. first week of august or so…??
this shall be a good idea.. there r few mods who live in delhi.. can be of great help.. so, here i would like to invite all those TE members, who have an upgrade on hold and would like to buy in early august.. write in here with your proposed rigs u wish to buy and how early u want it.. u can do this by specifying some date.. this way we can enlist proposed buyers and therefore we can work out if we can go for a bulk deal.. wat say? we can set regions.. like north it can be Nehru Place in delhi, same way west can be mumbai, likewise for other regions.. mods r there..
so lets just do this first step, then lets analyse wat comes out..

so we have 2 contenders for EE600.. cool… waiting for others to turn up.. hey mods.. say something.. is it practical wat i proposed above.. bulk buy? lets absorb the market like dell, IBM, compaq would do.. lol.. jk.. but, atleast lets not be deprived of C2D till sept.. (post 11 above)..
got X2 5000+ on 13th aug.. 19.5k… dam its more.. but needed one desperately.. with ASUS SLI AM2 enabled mobo.. 6.3k. 600W PSU (cooler master) 3.8k.. for the time being 1 GB simtronics 533mhz Ram.. 2 sticks.. later shall upgrade to 2 gb.. wanna but HDD.. waiting for Seagate 320 gb 7200.10.. out of stock.. :).. any comments?
