Has this started shipping? are there any reviews?
with Ola products one must not hurry incase you wish to buy it now.
See the market reviews for atleast 6 months before buying.
I reserved two of them earlier and the 5kwh option was available for payment. But I wanted to wait for reviews before making a purchase so I tried cancelling for a refund. The cancellation option is gone now and ola customer support doesn’t even acknowledge the email. As per their policy, you can cancel anytime before the item is shipped.
This itself made me realize that what kind of pathetic company it is and I did myself a favor by not going ahead with the purchase.
so as of now you lost Rs 999 reserve money?
Make that one year and also see how their new updated service works.
How quickly the world changes.
For 320k, I can build a 32kWh battery to use with 2x 6kW Ashapower inverters today.
Or make my own 6kW system with a 9kWh battery for 100k.
Yes, 999x2 in my case. I am not getting enough time to pursue this further but will try again.
They are promising smooth service and customer experience since last 3 years. I had to face service challenege 2 years back with a ola scooter which was parked outside in dust and rain outside the service centre. Why? Because I went in for software update as it wasn’t going through and service centre guy did a fsctory reset and wasn’t able to initilize it. It was parked as is for more than a month before I started bombarding them on twitter.
Stay away from this company as I don’t have any hopes that will do anything to improve. Their target is just to sell subpar crappy products and get away with it.
Ask the CEO any question about service and he doesn’t even bother. Literally 1000s of posts everyday tagging him and asking the same question.
You can try posting it on twitter, I am doubtful that will work considering they face backlash all the time, but no harm in trying.
Same here, I made the purchase for a scooter, 2+ years back, but I cancelled it, and got a full refund..
The thing that put me off was not the service experience, as the issues started after my purchase, but, there’s no option for a pdi. Idk how they’ve managed to sell lakhs of scooters, and no one complained about this and they’re not facing major issues with this, but they don’t let u do a pdi. It’s a basic right of the customer.
I visited the showroom, I asked about the pdi, he said that there’s no dealer’s network like other brands, so no dealer has a stockyard, When I place an order (or he places an order on my behalf with his code), the scooter will be dispatched from Bengaluru, then arrive at a hub and then finally get delivered to me or I can collect it from the showroom.
I asked what if there are issues with my scooter, I want a pdi to check before making a purchase, he said “we don’t give any such option”, and you won’t even know, because even before the scooter arrives at his place, it goes to a ‘hub’ in the city, if there’s any transit damage, the scooter’s are “REPAIRED” over there, so even he doesn’t know if there were any issues with the scooter.
And the registration and other documentation will be done by the time the scooter arrives, so if u get a repaired unit, you are now stuck with a brand new repaired ola. What a great strategy!
Idk why but I still went ahead with the purchase, but cancelled it after a day because I was really dicey about the pdi, damage situation he mentioned..
It is really exiting to look for what others manufactureres and new entrants would cook up given the fact that the budget has in a way boosted Solar Power.
Really looking at new products for Power Backup and generation at some competitive prices.
