A lot of new cases support at max 2x 3.5" + 1x 2.5" drive. Just look at ATX mesh front cases, take your pick if you are fine with that.
Considering this I really appreciate my Lancool II Mesh more as it can support upto 3x 3.5" drives + 6x 2.5" drives. Sadly its successors are expensive & OOS.
Let just say, I never had plans to upgrade to AM5 platform. I am a casual gamer mostly single player game on my pc(built in 2017) until recently, I started learning LLM’s and want to max out AM4.
upgrades so far since July 2025,
1070Ti to 9070 XT ( bcz system lagged during gaming (ragnork) on 4k tv and i have got this before started learning LLM )
2700x to 5900XT,
4x8 gigs to 2x32 gigs 3600Mhz cl16 (importing from UK) (initial plan was to get 4x32gb 3200Mhz but they are hard to get kits)
I am fine with one time upgrade that can last for few years instead of constant temptation to upgrades.
Unfortunately, I have upgraded 1070Ti to 9070 XT ( bcz system lagged during gaming (ragnork) on 4k tv and i have got this before started learning LLM )
