cooolll..its temptingg,,,but right nw i m too much inclined towards 9600gt
 
ok...msi 8800gt OC version is retailing at 12250/- at nehru place, delhi. should i go for this one. i think its the cheapest :)

more than enough:) .. mine is handling q6600@3.4 , 3gb ram (4 sticks) , 4 hdds , 7950gx2, sound card , tv tuner card ,lan card, 2 dvd writers plus tons of case fans .

8.2 drivers suck at crysis and oc in general,leads to artifacting in crysis at even moderate oc settings.:@

chill yaar .. got it second hand from a te member ..and also i sold my 8600gt which i got it free.. so effectively i got this card for 5.5k ..

so even though its heavely driver dependant card , its nice invesment for 5.5k ..

are yaar i got it around august last year .. that time even 8800gt and 3870 were not out ..

until n unless -we are start playing only DX10 games in vista--all 8 series and 9 series gfx are not that relevant( I am not sure how Crysis (in winxp sp2) will play in high level 7 series card)-- i think it should better to buy old 7 series card at low rate i u r nt planning for vista for a yr or two
 
^^7 series cards suck. period. IQ is way lower than ATI cards and Nvidia 8/9 series. HDR+AA isnt possible either

ATI products are GEEK product -at least in india-due to poor availability-driver support-compitibility
 
yea thats true unfortunately, In india its all Geoforce (as i once heard my cousin pronounce with much enthusiasm :rofl:)
 
I am planning to go in for an EVGA 9600gt KO or superclocked which costs around Rs.10500...checked many reviews of many sites and I see the performance is almost par with the 8800gt....in some games it even beats it....runs cooler n consumes less power....but shud I wait for the 98xx series to release this month ??? will the prices fall of the 9600gt considerably???

Also cud sumbody explain wat is dis LIFETIME warranty of EVGA ????

8800gt has more shaders(112) than 9600gt(64) and ofcourse u can alwayz OCed it to limit :) heck, msi and gigabyte cards are factory OCed :ohyeah:
