Action Camera Discussion.

So, I bought this DJI Action 2 Action Camera.

I have a new SAMSUNG EVO Select 256 GB MicroSDXC Class 10 130 MB/s Memory Card. Will it work with it? Else please suggest a 128GB card.

Also, please suggest a reasonably priced stick (something like Xiaomi Selfie Stick for mobile phones) for this action camera.

Yes it will work.


I think a long extendable ones are best for action camera because sometimes you can use it to create Drone Like shots too.
Insta360 selfie stick is very good and reasonably prices but DJI Selfie stick is also well built and very good.

There are lot of options keep looking what might suit you.

Bought DJI action 4 adventure combo after waiting so long. Any reccomendations to add with it?

Do I need to apply a tempered glass to protect its screen or is it not needed? Any reccomendations if needed.
Any case suggestions to carry it while travelling?

Any tips anyone like to share on shooting with it?

One thing I have came to find is that it shoots 10bit even in normal color mode.
Picture quality is excellent.

Told you it's great camera.

Yes screen guard is must.

Recent I hit my GoPro lens while taking shots in the bus in Leh and luckily my screen guard took the hit

So definitely go for it.

I would even say take a waterproof case if you are really going to be very adventurous.

The adventure combo is so perfect.
You may not need anything else.

Btw may I ask how much you got the deal?.

Btw 4k videos can take lot of storage so if shooting on 4k be sure to have good large storage card with good speed.

Got Samsung pro ultimate 128gb and an external 550GB SSD.
I am thinking of majorly shooting in 2.7k but lets see what happens:p

Do you have any carry bag or something to carry it in reccomendation?

No recommendation for screen guard but keep looking for good quality and apply it very careful in non dusty environment.

Otherwise even small dust will keep showing on your videos.

Also no recommendation for carry bags.
I just keep it my day hike bag side pocket.
 

new insta 360 ace pro 2 has been launched.

Looks like night mode is further advanced and 8k is now 30fps.

A decent upgrade but do hold on to your purchase.
I will strongly recommend waiting for atleast 1 month before buying any chinese actions camera.
They are all mostly paid reviews using many ways to cover up shortcomings of the footage.

Most real youtubers have often opp. things to say about these chinese cameras than these paid reviewers.

Atleast with Gopro you are much safer in terms of what they say and what exactly they deliver. Chinese on other hand are either too good to be true or really too good. So bit of risk there for early buyers.

The chinese app for the DJI cameras is a big turn off, its like they are renting you the camera, also DJI is paying tons of money to influencer for their reviews, tryna make their image at gopro level

Good point.
I agree. DJI images are too natural. They are not bad but it gopro gets the color right almost 60% of the time.
That is why I still stick to my gopro.

ANd their app is also too much getting into privacy.

Having said that...I still think DJI has battery backup, fast charging,the image distortion is much better compared to gorpo.

Night footage is better to some extent.

Overall it comes down to personal choice.
Its give and take for all action camera.

Insta360s editing tool is just too good.

Every company pays a lot to these influencers, it's just that some company has a bigger budget than the other.
And, yes the DJI app sucks big time.

I like the dramatic colors of go pro. One can use them directly on SM.

Yes, just set ISO to max 1600 and you can some decent footage.

Choosing an action cam is a very difficulty decision because of all this misinformation. My advice these days is just get any one and don't think about it.

It all comes down to creativity in the end.
People with just phones do better job then all the top gopros and djis and instas.

I know people still using gopro 7 and they do magic.

However, if some is buying today I would advice go for 360 camera.
They also do single or me mode like thing.
