Compro Videomate PVR/FM is gr8 for 1795 at MediaTech India
Confimed yesterday.

appo has/had a ZB01 he was sellin it ask him.

Reg the monitor for 21' i donno so cant suggest.

I have a week old altec mx 5021 , exactly a week old . I got it for 8600 from my local dealer in Vashi . He got it from someone at Lamington road , he got a quote of 8400 , kept 200 bucks profit only .

Since the distribution channel has changed the prices everywhere are 9750 now .

Apex , Nilesh Zaveri is selling for 8950 .
 
prices of mneomics r high...so i only got the procyy frm them.........

also asus a8ne is ard 6.6k in south.....so beware and dont get it if it cost mor than this...also apollyon mentioned...the same price in pune...and normally pune has higher r8es than mumbai....so surely they r overcharging.........

zalman r8es r right....i guess 2 months bak i got same r8 frm lamington

avoid pinnacle...heard their after sales service is bad in mumbai..go 4 compro......
and yup do som research with hdd 2....i also c this days ppl suggesting hitachi disc..they provide 5 yrs warranty...but dunno abt after sakes support

and u gettin ram frm mnemics itself???twinmos available in india???how come

Well Mnemonic prices are on the higher side on some components. Anywhere from 300-600 bucks more.

I buy from them for the service they provide, thats it. I dont have time to go to all the way to lamington if something goes wrong. And also you get some stuff from him which is very very hard to find elsewhere.

I do inquire abou tthe prices at couple of more places before buying. You can mail prime and matrix for the rates, compare them with mnemonic and then decide. You stay long way away from here so keep that in mind while purchasing from any dealer.

@Funky--- I totally agree with you. Sometimes it is worth paying a bit extra to get some better service.

Arrggghhhh....don't depress me more by saying how cheap the stuff is at lamington :(
I'm buying from mnemonics only because I have to take a loan for this. My local dealer is no good. I doubt hes even heard of twinmos.
Anyways, both borivali and lamington are same distance to me. But if anyone can suggest some good dealer in the central suburbs, I'll be muccho gracias.

Why cant you get financing options with any other shop on Lammy Road?? Why do you have to go to Mnemonics for financing?? Cant you just take a loan from any bank and buy the components from any place??

I am a total n00b when it comes to this. So, if you feel it is stupid, please forgive me :bleh:

Just go to any bank and ask for a computer loan. It'll be far cheaper than taking from a vendor :bleh:. You also have to option of buying from anywhere then!
 
forget about that....but do tell is twinmos available with dealers here in mumbai..........i guess only hynix and transcend here

Go to computer selection and ask for twinmos :P. You'll get it in <5 minutes.
 
what the guy never told me that before....all my stuffs are from them.......... he told transcend is best and available.........lose one was for 2500k got the box packed...for 2950 per 512mb ram..........all things bought between 15th aug to 22 aug

In Jan 2005 I took a bank loan from HDFC bank for some computer hardware purchases and they put money into my account and I withdrew cash and bought 20k worth of toys. No problems as my dealings were with cash.

I think the bank will need a proper quotation from a dealer before it approves the loan. Anyway, will go and ask.
I'm trying to find proper opportunity to ask my dad for the money. Hope he agrees.
