AFAIK, ppobox doesn't charge excess like ishop..

Ppobox never replies with quotes, they have a calculator for that purpose.

Ppobox does not order items for you. You have to buy yourself and send it to their address, their job is to forward it to India, regarding ishopinternational, they reply to quotes within 12-24 hours. Check spam folder.

You can also try Hopshopgo if you have a PayPal account. They also provide you with bill of entry for customs with all detailed calculations. DHL takes care of shipping and customs.

If a package is large, then stay away from ppobox,if its a single item , with low volumetric weight , then go for it

U can use ppobox or hopshopgo, hopshopgo address is tax free, if u buying from eBay use PPO, if not use hopshopgo.

New jersey has 8.x % tax and new York has 9.x% tax i think.

And not its not tax free, tax is lesser in NJ than NY.

I have never tried shopandship, lots of problems and delays recently.. Thefts.. But they charge by actual weight and not volumetric weight which is good.

IIRC, NJ has 7% tax while NY has 8.75%.

If it is a high value purchase directly from a site, it is better to use Hopshopgo as their address lies in a tax-free state. I however always prefer PPOBox.
