Word to the wise, don't. 3GB is way too less even for 1080p. Horrible stutters/frame spikes happen if you overflow the VRAM.I am intreasted in buying 1060 3gb for Rs 5000 - 6000. Where can I get it?
Thanks for the tip. The card is intended for plex/jellyfin transcoding (on an old secondary machine) and not gaming though. Want the cheapest solution for H264 NVENC @ 1080p. I mostly play slow strategy games at 1080p which even the onboard graphics have no problem with, but I use a GTX 1060 GB.. LMAO, some of the spectacles I need make a GPU look cheap . My avatar is stolen from a game called Brotherhood of Steel , probably in a museum now.Word to the wise, don't. 3GB is way too less even for 1080p. There are a handful of games now which stutter bad on this card but work with playable framerates on 1050Ti.
Atleast give some details like what games and what pc use you have in mind. So that people can guide you better .Hello everyone thanks all for sharing your insights. I am bit late in responding.
Would prefer a PC over a console simply that gaming won't be the only purpose.
Saw many listings on fb over last week.I am intreasted in buying 1060 3gb for Rs 5000 - 6000. Where can I get it?
Games would be GTA V and Apex Legends.Atleast give some details like what games and what pc use you have in mind. So that people can guide you better .
You might end up buying something that might neither satisfy your needs for gaming neither your productive pc uses.
That should be helpful.Games would be GTA V and Apex Legends.
Other purposes: Watching movies, College Projects, etc.
Note: This is for a cousin of mine and not for myself. Thanks for sharing.
I completely understand it's a wild west out there on FB that's why I intentionally cropped out the sellers name.I am staying away from FB as scams are quite frequent and did experienced one myself. Took a lot of time to resolve
Would recommend you get a system which atleast supports latest Operating System like win 11. An AMD AM4 platform can get you started cheap with athlon 3000 while having plenty of headroom for upgrading and/or graphics card for gaming later. Do select a B450 or B550 motherboard since it will have the most scope for upgrade and have PCIE 3/4 respectively. Without a GPU you can use a much cheaper powersupply, but you may have to change it if or when you buy a GPU.Hello everyone thanks all for sharing your insights. I am bit late in responding.
