Is anyone having issues with gps ?? Does nexus 5 take time to get a lock and is it able to hold on to the signal while in a moving car??

Is there any wai I can connect my tata photon dongle to my nexus 5 ? Is there a mini USd to usb receiving port or something like that?

Yes cables are available to convert your USB to micro USB port which I regularly use for connecting my pendrive to phone. But not sure about USB modem drivers on the Nexus 5!

My phone does not have "Tap and Pay" under the settings. However my friend's nexus 5 does. We both bought from the same shop and both are indian phones. Can anybody tell me what is the implication of this ?
Maybe your friend has a registered CC to his name, no CC .. no tapping anything to pay.

Been playing around with phone since last night couple of things I noticed.

Pro's:
Screen is awesome if you are shifting from like an iPhone 4
It's fast like really fast
It's butter smooth
Overall KitKat feels sharp and uncluttered
Camera quality is not bad at all

Con's:
It takes forever for camera to focus when in good light specially with HDR. Could click any decent pic with it off my 6 year old even with almost 8 tries. The moment was over by the time the camera fired. Google needs to fix this first and fast.
Audio as in music output with headphones on nexus is uninspiring. Tried the same in my 3.5 year old iPhone and it's leaps better then Nexus. Tried the headphones which came with nexus itself. The Audio quality, output both are disappointing. Same headphones on nexus sounded much better. Really disappointing and I don't see any solution to fix this. This won't cut it as a portable music device for me at least. People who are into music and considering this phone should take a demo before finalizing this.
Google now doesn't understand me or my voice as such.
Hangout with SMS integration needs work. Search is somewhat messed up. So is integration of both with each other. Google should take a cue from apple and what they did with iMessage.
Inbuilt speaker is very tinny as well as output itself is really not loud.

As far as audio quality is considered I think it's really bad. As the speakers are not stereo. But I have tested skull candy earphones with it and poweramp player and music quality was nice. Camera takes times to focus but should be fixed in an update.
But "Ok Google" is brilliant and works 99.9% of the time for me. The phone is butter smooth and should get better and better with software updates.
Overall it's a brilliant phone.

Few more impressions. "Google Now" is totally awesome. What I am about to say will have people pointing fingers at me but I need to share that. Yesterday night and today coming back and going to work I used Google Now to make calls and send messages. Its a HIT more then a miss. Still I don't know how to pronounce my wife's name for the phone to understand but rest of the names work just fine ;). I will stick out my head and say that it worked rather well then Siri and that was a pleasant surprise. Will try setting up reminders since its a PITA to put it physically on the phone or on a piece of paper.

Now for some negativity :android:. The phone gets really warm while gaming that too fast. I have never felt that with my iPhone 4. After playing Plant vs Zombies 2(Yup, Thats my thing :p) for about 15 minutes the phone was really really warm. Took it out from its silicone case and switched it off. Then again download Asphalt 7(Being a moron and not realising Asphalt 8 is available for free. Waste of time, money and bandwidth... Duh!!! :bag:) and gave that a shot and the phone got warm within a couple of minutes. Is that a standard norm with phones now. I guess this way we would need to put cases with inbuilt coolers/heat-sinks on them :borg:.

PS: I hope the smiley limit in one post will not be questioned here :D.

You can edit your wife's contact and you will see you can add phonetic names for contacts. Try settings it to something like "wife".
