Alrighty, thanks everyone for buying Demon's Souls and hopefully getting it NEW. Also, thanks for taking time to read over this , I really appreciate it. Now, before you begin your game... just wanna let you know... You will die... and you will again, and again, and again, and again. This game was made for death.. and for learning from mistakes. So do NOT get angry or rage... the game wants you to die and in some instances, you have no choice. You don't lose anything except souls and easily get them back. So no need to fret there.

Yes well, I got a good taste of it this morning. I picked the Knight and started the game over again. I was able to reach to the top of the tower and then one armoured knight hacked me to death in a single blow, in a SINGLE FREAKIN' BLOW! :@

The second attempt was rather lame, I tried to run away from him, thinking he would leave me alone, but the idiot followed me all over the place. I managed to throw a few fire bombs and again one swish and I was history. It's like I'm a magnet to all these dead folks. Anyhoo, How does this game save? There is no checkpoint system at all, is there? Each time I got killed, I spwaned right where I first started, near the start of the castle. :(

I think for you to save you need to clear the stage and "complete what you came to do" (the game says this when you die)

Which is what? Collect all the souls and head back to Nexus? How many souls do you need the first time anyway? I'm a bit confused of how this game progresses. Have got the Atlus guide, which is pretty detailed, so might go through it for a better understanding.

Was reading Demon's Souls wiki I had posted in the first page and got redirected to a trophy guide from one of the links.

A guide is a must. I figure that you need to kill the boss for the game to save the stage completition.

see the link on Gannu Sir's post. Its a user written guide and its very good. And also scroll down the page and see the video with the demon's souls warning. :P

I read up on GameFAQ board & it seems the game auto saves frequently, which is what I first suspected. I found a small round mist like icon on the corner right hand side. I think that's where it indicates a game save. Also found out from the IGN guide that the Knight I was trying to tackle isn't worth the effort, this early in the game (due to poor soul level I suppose). So I have to venture in a different direction. Which part are you on right now?

Got killed a few more times, but learned (somewhat) how this game works. Got the cling ring and now my HP meter is a bit more in the soul form. It auto-saves the game at various points, but the frustrating thing is getting killed inside a castle means spawning right outside it's entrance. This part suck donkey dick. You have to travel all the way inside and fight all the other nimrods in the process. If you die before reaching your blood stain, then all your previous collected souls will go kaput. My endurance meter also increased a bit. The Knights are a pain in the ass, their attacks drain your health rapidly. The trick is to get these f*ckers out in the open and not stay in a close ended area.

Haven't Yet Started the Game.....:ashamed:

Will starting it tom directly !!! Going thru guides to learn the mechanics of the game...then..Trial n Error :bleh: Till Then...Enjoy Dying :devil:
