I had to fight a MECH once in the warehouse on level 2. Is that a boss..?

Nope! Those are mere robots. :P

You can however turn them to fight for your cause, if you can find and hack the system which controls the camera, robots, doors and turrets.

Completed the game yesterday.... Had mixed experience. The worst part of the game were the bugs...
Had enabled DX11 + Tesellation = Game crashes to desktop randomly...
Disable DX11 and the game stutters.

^^ Since we are back on technical issues.

Could you share your settings, please?

There are benchmarks posted here which show rigs equivalent to mine (in signature) maxing out @ 1920*1080p.

I'm barely able to do stutter free 45FPS @ 1920*1080 with Tessellation off and SSAO at Normal and post processing ON.

I played the entire game smoothly (60FPS+) at 1360*768p with the above settings. I'm still trying to understand why this is happening, not many people have reported average frame rates.

I narrowed it down to Post Processing and SSAO settings and had to reduce them while playing. No crashes though. And am running CCC 11.8.

I got my copy of Steam, I think it is updated with the latest patch.

May I also add that in the Witcher 2 thread people have reported 60FPS with 5770 and its equivalent with Ubersampling off. I was getting a constant 45 again. I'm beginning to think something is not right with my system? Any kind of help would be appreciated. CCC settings, In game settings. Please do share if you are getting satisfactory frame rates.

But no romance in the game was a turn off for me. I so wished Adam could get laid with them working gals. :(
The "girls' are sure done well in this game.

LOL! Thank god I had my armour upgrade aug which would sheild me against all electric attacks/surfaces.
Which upgrade is this.

Absolutely no problems with Dx11 either, ran everything maxed out at 1920 x 1200. System specs on the signature.

EMP Shielding under Dermal Armor. But for that you will have to unlock Damage Reduction 1 & 2.

Just make sure you guys purchase as many Praxis kits as possible with your credits, when you're in Hengsha (second round). As that's the last place where you can find a LIMB clinic.

Besides any LIMB clinic would give only 2 at a time. Such a bummer! I recall one of the hints during the loading screens mentioned that not all Augs. can be purchased during the campaign. So true that!

Hengsha is:

Once he takes the chopper flight with Malik..? And sees the augmented bad-a$$es for the first time. And starts the warehouse investigation.

Also is it worth upgrading to level 5 hack capability...? Have reached 4 though.

Some of the terminals towards the later parts of the game have a Level 5 lock so I'd say it is worth it. Else you need to have sufficient number of AUDs.

Yep. That's the one. Just get to a LIMB clinic when during any side quest and sell off your credits.

No. Unless, you're hacking every other device, you don't need this level for any main mission to be completed.

Get this mod NAOOOOOOOO!!!

This wonderful mod (and the modding tools which are still being written) has been built by the Something Awful Forums regular gibbed. What it does is in the thread name, but let me elaborate.

DEBUG / BURGER MENU

The Debug Menu allows you to manipulate the game (no health regen, infinite power, infinite ammo, AI options, UI options) and has a "Shop" feature, which lets you spawn yourself augmentations, money, weapons, weapon mods and other in-game items, as well as tons of debug options which you probably should leave alone.

You access this via the Pause menu.

MAP SELECTOR

It also comes with a "Map Selection Window", which lets you pick which map to load. The list also has some "unused" maps like the E3 Demo and GamesCom, along with "Zoo" maps (which are usually maps with all NPCs and items so you can quickly test things), although the only one I could load was the "E3 Demo" one, and I think it's identical to the retail Hengsha map, except without NPCs. So I'm guessing the maps themselves aren't actually included.

You access this via the Main menu.

The mod also disables the intro logos, so you can get in-game much faster!

DOWNLOAD:

no-intro+map-select+debug-menu.7z (directly from gibbed)

no-intro+map-select+debug-menu.7z (my mirror)

WILL ONLY WORK WITH GAME VERSION 1.1.622.0

Whenever there will be a patch, the mod will have to be "repackaged".

Installation:

1) Navigate into ..\Steam\steamapps\common\deus ex - human revolution\ (finding these folders depend on where you have Steam installed) and make a backup of patch0.000 though you can have Steam redownload it by doing verify integrity if you want the original file back.

2) Unpack the download into the same folder, so you'll have a "new", modded patch0.000 file. If you don't need a backup, over-write the existing file.

get it here

Dug deeper into the game yesterday. I'm now completing only side missions. This game is really detailed and the storyline is really complex. Why do I get the feeling that this is going to be as long as Mass Effect 2? :D

Is it?

Est. gameplay hours?

Is there anything to reduce the settings of the game further?

It's barely playable at minimum on INTEL HD3000 with a 720p resolution.

Not really, but it varies, depending on the amount of exploration you spend trying to uncover all the hidden items. The approach you take in this game also matters. If you plan to go full on stealth way, then the time would really be stretched.

somewhere in the sewers, if you find out s1 then you'll be able to be find out s2 easily.

Is that a glitch?! Don't seem like it since IIRC we were asked to find him.

Zelazny is inside the main sewers accessible by a manhole.
