I could not find BioShock Infinite yesterday and i have to scroll through all the pages.

and over hyped too

Diablo is an very old franchise spanning over 16 years and played by a vast majority of players. The "hype" is more justified than any of the redundant shooter hypes of today's gamers. Here is a good backdrop of Diablo from IGN, for all the COD noobs who think gaming began with Modern Warfare 3

now the only question that is troubling me is - is it worth the buy for 3700??

My requirements -

Good and long story (side missions included)

Awesome combat and easily executable combos (unlike DMC
Invision18.gif
)

good graphics with fair enough details

Replayability is not my criteria at all. I am a RPG lover.

Diablo is usually not big on side missions, but a very, very long main mission. A loot. Lots of it. The main attraction of the Diablo franchise is you can play the game with different characters and billions of different equipments. For those who want to play it only once, like a RPG, definitely not worth 3700.

Rakesh,

Diablo 3 is not about a good and long story. Period. Story is just a prop for the gameplay which is the highlight. Leveling up, skill selection and looting and repeating the process to get even better loot is the cornerstone of diablo

Awesome combat and easily executable combos - check.

Good graphics - graphics are meh in these day and age but i like the style which ages well and doesnt look bad at all. At the end, graphics takes a step back for gameplay which is king here.

Replayability? What you get diablo 3 for. You can keep on coming back even replay at a higher difficulty with the same character or experiment with different characters.

Btw, if you want a digital copy i can probably get it for you @ today exchange rate (which should amount for around Rs 3200) by buying it from battle.net

I gave up pirating games when u asked me to with all your reasoning..

So here I am pre-ordering Diablo 3. Anyways, I prefer physical copy to the digital version as I can save some download B/W. I am gonna get it from nextworld.in.. Will catch u on the floor

Nice!! When will you get your copy?

Is the physical version worth the extra 500 rs? I bought starcraft2 physical copy and once its registered with your battle.net account, you can download and install on any machine from anywhere. Didnt find anything extraordinary about the physical copy otherwise other than the nice box cover.

So not sure if its worth the extra money unless the bandwidth of 7 gb is an issue.

Also you can start downloading now itself if you pre order it so that you can be ready to play on the 15th release date.

are u sure with the 7GB thing?

if yes, i think i will download it straight away. I thought it can run upto 15+ GB. Also, u will have to help me buy the copy for me and also will have to check if I can access it here without any issues. I mean, what if battlenet restricts a download here as u might create the new account with US address?

Yes, i am sure about the 7 gb download. It would download a < 100 mb update just before release but otherwise its a 7 gb installer(15 gb on installation i think).

Since its a global copy, you can play from anywhere and there are no restrictions on it. Let me check if there is a gift option on battle.net. Get on gtalk if possible.

Well, if you want good games from good developers especially on PC(and God do we need it!) , we need to support them like Rakesh said. Blizzard is one of the few PC only AAA game developers still there and their games have all been hits.

And yes, i finished the download but shows the following message when trying to install!

Dude i'm a hardcore fan of diablo, was waiting from the announcement time to play this... No offence but the game was bit hyped so sharing my thoughts...

Definitely not pre-ordering ... will wait and watch. If worth shelling the money, maybe then.

Dude the prices wont go down - this is blizzards game, if you want the price to drop and then play probably you got to wait just another 2-5 years i guess

This is definitely not your game... Try Titan Quest instead - it has nice story, very good graphics, insane combinations but at the end these games are all repeated gameplay (this is the thing which makes these games more fun filled)

I "guess" THQ copied diablo and made Titan Quest- the game looks so similar..
