Graphic Cards Difference between 8800GTS 512 & 8800GT 512

Came across many ppl having rigs with EVGA 8800GTS 512Mb .
My question is which is the better card and what is the main difference?

Secondly is it available in delhi adn wht wud be its price range?
 
GTS G92 has dual slot cooling, better OCing headroom and 128SP.

GT is better value for money.

Performance difference is only noticiable @ higher reso, say 4-5FPS in Crysis.

i bought it from computer empire. evga superclocked for Rs. 12850/- :) even the sales guyz at computer empire didnt had any clue about evga. actually he inquired about msi 8800gt from the distributor and distributor told him that evga is available not msi. as soon as i heard evga there was no looking back.:hap2:
 
going offtopic though .... 8800GT has d best VFM so far for a nvidia gpu...

but performance wise both are very similar at clock per clock.. the same matter happens with 9800GTX which is only 2-5% faster than 8800GTS 512 at stock but according to overclocking headrooms clear its higher position in d run

so IMO 8800GT 512 is d best hig-end performance card with mid-range price
 
The 9800GTS isnt better than the GTS except for the better memory SP is the same unlike the Gt vs GTS where the GTS has better sp + way better cooling

The GT isn't a High end Card ...but the GT is the best buy also look at the 96GT or 2 96GT wud be great.

u might to say 9800GTX... exactly due to same reason i told earlier that its only 2-5% better in performance at clock per clock otherwise almost same as GTS G92....

so according to performance at stock u can place them like

8800GT<8800GTS G92<9800GTX

price wise (approx)

8800GT - 11-13K
8800GTS G92 - 17-19K
9800GTX - 19-21K

so GT wins d race of best buy
 
Well , the newer batch of the 8800GT's oc darn well .. put in a HR03GT , or the cheaper Accelero S1 and u're good to go on really high clocks , which brings the card close to 9800GTX stock performance .. and it'll run cooler .. and it'll consume less power !!! .. albeit u can go higher .. but beside Crysis .. seriously , isn't 60 fps enough ?? I for one had doubts about shifting on to a 8800GTS , but then didn't not the 8800GT perform more than what i need , i oc'ed it .. its runs cooler now with the HR03-GT , and consumes less power .. i think it has enough juice to wait for the next gen. of graphics cards !!!
 
HR03-GT adds 2.8 to cost of the GT which is 13K so thats 15.8K the GTS is 17K and with more SP's its a much better buy ...So now the price to performance ratio doesn't work to well for the GT.

Buy the 8800GT and the VX450 from Tirupati, Nehru place. I won't recommend going anywhere else.
