It was included in the PS2 version as a part of the unlockable content. By the end of the the game, I had managed to unlock this video and the E3 Promo video. There are more videos of Ruben Langdon and other casts mo-cap being done. It's amazing how much Langdon actually resembles Dante in real life. Check out the making of the DMC3 commercial video.

Capcom have sourced this project to Ninja Theory. This is an England based studio with 2 titles under their belt; Heavenly Sword (PS3 Exclusive) & Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (X360 & PS3). Capcom are really taking a huge gamble by letting some of their good franchises into the hands of relatively new developers. :(

It also concerns me that the Engine being used is UE3, as opposed to Capcom's MT Framework. The latter is very robust and provides excellent optimised performance on the PC. It could easily be witnessed by Devil May Cry 4's supreme performance and stunning visuals on the PC, whilst maintaining a steady frame rate, even while rendering heavy animations.

UE3 grrr no..! MT Frame Work was awesome! It ran @ uber speeds even with my old 8800gt..

Ok UE3 does that mean they ll use the new upgraded engine(like the one shown in the samaritan UE Trailer) ??

We don't know yet. But going by NT's previous titles, we might expect 30fps lock and poor textures.

I have seen all the other videos except this one thats why i said it was not included.may be for the ps2 it is.
engine point of view dont stick to uc3 as i had mentioned earlier it also has a closed resemblance to diesel engine.lol bionic commando.

What?! Their own engine worked really smoothly on my old 9600gt.

I don't understand why one would outsource one of their best games to someone else.

trailer surely is uninteresting.maybe this is dmc for kids! After dmc4 people were eagerly waiting for a stellar sequel.But instead they decided to make a reboot! very bad.maybe they didnt found a sequel for such a lousy story which dmc4 had.

Adding salt to the injuries, Capcom have announced that they are making a Live action movie in conjunction with Screen Gems and it's based on the new reboot. :S

I was just recalling the last decent hack and slash game I played. Other than Darksiders, I think there wasn't anything interesting since DMC 4. And now DMC is going down too. :(

A friend of mine went into depression after watching the trailer. :P

DmC: Dante is Now the Son of a Demon and Angel

Capcom has shared new story details for the DmC reboot. Any Devil May Cry fan will recall that in the original first 4 games Dante and his twin brother Virgil were sons of a human woman and demonic male, named Sparda. Not so in this reboot.

According to a new blog post on Capcom Europe Dante in Ninja Theory’s take of the long running series is a half demon AND half angel.

The Dante of DmC is a young man discovering and coming to terms with what it means to be the child of a demon and an angel.

This split personality has a major impact on gameplay with Dante being able to call upon angel and demon abilities at will, transforming his Rebellion sword on the fly to dramatically affect both combat and movement.

Capcom teases that DmC will include “familiar faces†from the series, implying that Trish and Virgil will appear in this franchise revamp at some point. Capcom also promises that DmC â€will remain true to the Devil May Cry DNA so cherished by the fans, while bringing a new level of cinematic quality to the title.â€
