I had ordered sanyo rechargeable batteries( 4 X AA ), 2500 MaH ones (costing 574-300 rupees) from a seller. Instead he shipped me four Sanyo eneloop 2500 mAh batteries.

eneloop are 2000mah and not 2500mah

this is mostly the reason. because they dont send coupons to ppl who often ebay

same in my case also.. ebay wants to get idle people to do more purchases.. the discount coupon email conveys this idea.

I got the 10% voucher on the a/c on which I have done a lot of purchases. So dunno about the logic that they send voucher to idle a/c's. Infact I did not get any voucher on my idle account.

Yep. I guess ebay is clearing the mess they got into by offering huge discounts! They will be taking next steps very carefully.

i dont think this is the first time ebay got l**ted or whatever u say (for this episode). They shall have to just manage funds a bit.

On top of that they have anyway cheated innocent sellers for their money and got it for free, isnt it?

Things (for buyers) will come back to normal, the question is WHEN? If people already purchase things they need before they come back its waste.

Ebay also shows ads in their site, so some revenue must be coming from there also. All what they wanted is promoting their site, and increase people's dependancy on them. So its job done for them. And they shall continue doing so no doubt.
