What is it with people not understanding that Graphics RAM is not as relevant to the performance as the GPU.

Friend: I bought a VAIO, which good games can I play on it

Friend: i7,6GB RAM,2GB Graphics...

Me: Which Graphics card?

Friend : The 2GB one

Me: I mean, which GPU specifically

Friend: I dont know all that stuff. 2GB was the best one available, so I took that one

Onboard graphics takes memory from RAM, so his i5 with 8GB RAM (onboard graphics) has better graphics than my i5 with 4GB + ATI 5770

Happens a lot. In fact, i have lost track of the several times my friends were discussing on this issue.

I told him to shut off GPRS via settings. Then he saw me downloading apps from Market via our office WiFi...

He: How are you downloading apps so fast..

Me: I'm using office WiFi..

He: Oh ho... how much bill do you get ?

Me: This is free, this is office internet over WiFi.

He: But you will be getting some bill na .. ?
