English TV series discussion

The Newsroom feels like an acquired taste. The (varying) pace isn't too much to my liking but the telecast sections are so good I keep going back

I left Fringe halfway through Season 4. IIRC the episode in which they were stranded in a town which had entered the other dimension. Did anything plot changing happen after that. For me this plot wasn't working as well as the previous 3 seasons. Somehow the re birth of Peter seemed like an attempt to reboot the series. They went back to a new case every episode routine like the first season. Glad to see that they are deciding to end the series rather than take the viewers on a long meaningless journey.

Watched the first episode of Sherlock (from BBC) and it gotta say, I went in without expecting much but it's surprisingly good. So I'm gonna be watching the rest

Agree, Finished Awake yesterday. First episode was way too confusing, 2nd and 3rd cleared the doubts. After that is was good

I am thinking of re-starting Fringe. I abandoned it back in S01 due to the episodic "mystery of the week" theme (not considering acting from the female lead). Any pointers where can I start to get in the story's mix?

Fringe is something that you need to see it continously
Even though every episode has a story of its own,it does connect all at the end so if you just start from the scratch and follow it....it gets interesting ;)

I used to watch S01 but left in between got bored. People tell me it gets better after S01, so was thinking will jumping into S02 help or need to watch some particular episodes in S01?
