English TV series discussion

Person of Interest is boring the crap out of me. I have no ideas why it has received so many rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. I'm on episode 6 of season 1 right now and it's already feeling like a drag. Suits me right for trying another J J Abrams borefest after Lost and Fringe. Will give it some more time and watch the rest of season 1 since I've nothing else to do.

blkrb0t It actually took me more than a week to get past those 5 episodes. Maybe it's just not my type of television anymore. I loved Lost in its first 3 seasons and then absolutely hated the remaining 3. The entire concept as well as performances in PoI feels fake to me. Even someone as talented as Michael Emerson feels like crap to me in this show.

/end of rant

If you still dislike the show after the end of Episode 7 (Witness), I don't think the show is for you.

Planning to watch this miniseries soon - From the Earth to the Moon

If anyone here has seen it before, please let me know how it fares. It hasn't been remastered to HD yet but that's alright. I saw The Shield in 480p and it was fine.

I found it extremely amateurish.. gave up after 6 episodes.

Fell off my chair laughing when I saw this in Psych -

LOL

I saw first episode it was okay. But in second episode, P vs NP happened :

This has to be probably 'the coolest' thing I have ever heard on TV. It's like porn for Math & CS people :P

I am gonna try few more episodes :)

Currently watching season 3 of breaking bad and on 3rd episode. Till now I have seen that the season 3 episodes are having several long scenes where they speak Spanish and I dont have any subtitles, not even hardcoded.
Is this expected or should I procure the subtitles from somewhere ?

Any reason for this ?

Downloading season 1...

Most crap but time-pass shows that I watch, I watch compressed versions of them. (Mentalist - planning to drop this soon, Numb3rs, first few seasons of NCIS, Elementary, etc). Takes me about 15-20 minutes to watch an episode. I don't think these are worth watching in real time. :P

I was looking at mid-season replacements, planning for future TV series to watch out for :P. Saw this one:

The premise is very interesting:
A show about the underground cult following of a CW series called Cult, as a disgraced reporter investigates the dedicated fan base of this fictional television show about a cult leader, played by Prison Break's Robert Knepper (T-Bag), after the disappearance of his brother. Confused yet? According to those who have seen the pilot, the show frequently switches between the mystery-solving aspect, the show-within-a-show conceit, and a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the fictional show.

I watched 3 more episodes of Numb3rs and I am totally hooked. There are so many Math/CS concepts in every episode !

No one here loves Math / CS ?

Problem is all the maths is added to support the crimes instead of other way around. The concept is intriguing at first but the novelty wears down after sometime.
