English TV series discussion

I felt the same way about PoI. I had started watching it last year when it was airing and had left it mid way because there was no concrete story line and felt like those detective shows with a new case every week.
Since so many people are praising it, it seems that the second season is a lot different so will start watching again.

Sorry, if I as not clear. I loved it, all 8 seasons. I only wanted to point out that it is quite a long series.

@rdst_1 It's not that good a show; I just watch it because of the mystery surrounding the machine and the multiple arcs going on here and there. Otherwise it's a very average show with an average plot.

Thanks. I thought so too.

Anyone over here Star Trek fan. I am thinking of watching the original series. Is it easily available and 720/1080p quality available as well.

Finished Season 1 of PoI.The finale was good, I would give the show 6.5/10.will start s02 when I finish Arrow s01, Blue Bloods s03 and Elementary S01 i.e. 69 Episodes later :)[DOUBLEPOST=1368705987][/DOUBLEPOST]Anything about Nashville Guys?

Completed the Spartacus 4th Season.

Didn't liked the end of Spartacus :arghh:
Between Carassus n Caeser, one shud be dead........still a great series worth watching.
I Liked the below line :

Man must accept his fate or get destroyed by it.

Spot on. Couldn't have described it in a better way.

Done with Season 1 for Fringe. Very interesting TV series. Liked it.
Will start with season 2 in evening.
With SciFi series the possibilities of what they can show is endless and you do not question since it is scifi stuff :)

Most stuff except the lead actress acting which is horrific:p (sorry couldn't resist taking a dig at fringe. The lady's acting always made me cringe. )

Anna Torv? Horrific? You have got to be kidding me! John Noble and Anna Torv are probably the highlight of this show, with the former over-shadowing pretty much everyone else on the show.

Since a number of TV series are winding down their season for this year I need some new addiction. Can you guys please suggest some show which I might like.
So far I have been totally up to date on these-
Boardwalk Empire
Breaking Bad
Californication
Castle
Dexter
Game Of Thrones
Hannibal
Homeland
Person Of Interest
Sherlock
Spartacus
The Mentalist

I am not too keen on comedy.
Thanks in advance

I always felt the original series was average. TNG was awesome, Deep Space Nine was the best trek series for me, Voyager was good albeit a little cliched (Robert Picardo's acting rivals Patrick Stewart), Enterprise had its moments.[DOUBLEPOST=1368808942][/DOUBLEPOST]

I loved Fringe, but Anna Torv took some time getting used to, she had a very wooden face in the first season. In fact I quite liked Peter Bishop too..
