Psych essentially has the same concept, but it goes along the comic lines and thus becomes more interesting. In fact, they even take a few friendly jabs at 'The Mentalist' every now and then. I have seen both Lie to Me and the Mentalist. I lost interest in Lie to Me after 2 seasons and then heard it was cancelled. However, I have followed Mentalist down to the very last episode and never really got bored of it.

The Mentalist is pretty good...the Red John storyline keeps the show together..

Although, you may even say that it is getting dragged beyond a point but the current season is pretty good...
 
I started with Mentalist but stopped after first few episodes. Mainly because it was dealing with solving cases and I had seen Monk before and I feel Monk is far superior.
Mentalist might be good but I just did not like it.

why so many people (so called RedJohn suspects) are getting killed in the first 2 episodes!

Completed the 6th season of Supernatural and also 8 episodes of season 7. Season 6 overall was average, mostly because of the central plot was extremely weak. It also mananged to give us 2 of the worst episodes of the entire season (series?) 'The French Mistake' (Episode 15) & 'My Heart Will Go on' (Episode 17). These 2 were so horrible and disjointed that they literally felt like fillers, especially the latter.

Season 7 got off to a wacky start, but isn't all the that bad. IMDB users have a profound hate for season 7 and it seems to be on the bottom of the list of all the fans. I'll be done with it this weekend, so let's see how it goes. I strongly hope season 8 has some redeeming factor.

Is anyone following Sleepy Hollow? I'm gathering all the episodes, but haven't seen a single one. How is it?

American Horror Story Coven has begun. Apart from the teaser (and a few promotional posters), I haven't seen much. I liked the Asylum's atmosphere, hope this season delivers.

Done with 4 seasons of Hustle and it was quite odd to see Mickey going out for a whole season. Now that he's back in season 5, Stacey & Danny have gone AWOL, at least in the first episode. What is going on?

No way. And btw, the 8 episodes are just half of the 16; the next 8 will start airing around Feb/Mar I guess, same as last year.

Also, they have enough characters and storyline (from comics) to keep going for maybe 10 seasons or more. AMC won't let go of this franchise for as long as possible. With BrBa finished, TWD is all they'll have left after Mad Men ends.

There was also talk of a TWD spin-off; don't know whether that materialized or not.
