English TV series discussion

I'll check it out once I complete this season.

It was really great to see them showing the childhood flashbacks of Harold and Shaw. It would be great to have one for Root as well, unless they already did *memory lapse*. Then the episode which showed Harold's previous employee before Reese.

Lionel's character really matured in this season. His torture at the hands of Petersen, speaking to his son on the phone, his fistfight with Simmons. RESPECT!

Carter's death was really done sloppily. I would have expected a respectable death rather than a hasty shootout with Simmons; it was really cheap.

Shaw really needs to lighten up. Her role, though solid, is really wooden all the time. I get the whole hard-shelled no nonsense act, but it gets really annoying after a while. Root, on the other hand, is on fire in this season. Amy Acker delivers a brilliant performance.

Lastly, I want to see how the storyline pans out. They took down HR pretty early on, which was done in style. Now we have Alliance and the whole Samaritan aspect. Then there is this mystery person from the episode 'Last Call' who may or may not have a role later on. Great stuff here.

Hemlock grove season 1 was a hit and miss. However i stayed with it and season 2 was much better. Season 3 is the last season and will arrive in 2015.

Except for the episode where Harold pulls out some joystick to take control of a plane, more laughs than all seasons of TBBT combined.

I'd say Reese getting b**ch slapped at the reunion event was much more hilarious.

I see. That's good to know. However, I would like to know do the visual effect still continue to be shitty in season 2 as it did with season 1? I understand Netflix has a limited budget, but dam that transformation scene was awful. I have seen 80's effects which were better than this.

Visual effects are a bit better in Season 2, but there is one scene where i burst out laughing and so did other fans on imdb boards. It was so badly done. The cinematography especially is better and the pacing/ story is taut.

Totally hooked to true blood.not that its too good or spectacular but there is something very Badass/wicked about it which keeps me glued....like Banshee.

And before TB, i never thought i will be tired of watching cleavages, but aint complainin'!!

+1 to boardwalk empire, one of HBO's gems in terms of drama, authenticity &production values...just try the pilot..

Moving towards the ending of Breaking Bad S4 (season finale left). The season started out pretty slow but S**T has really hit the fan in the last few episodes!! Almost looks like an endgame scenario but I know there is another season after this. I always take a break from a series after a season but not sure if I'll do that this time.

Also...any reviews of Ray Donovan?

Pretty good stuff really. 8.3/10 so far imho.
Something which can be classified along the lines of Banshee, but with less ridiculousness. Liev does a fine job, and Steve baur enacts his part with good amount of aplomb. Voight too is stellar with his performance.

I recently started it and right now am waiting for the latest episode.

Added To My watchlist

Liked The pilot,The acting is great...lets see...Thanks Brother

TGW premiere - Very good how they are set up for at least the a quarter/half of the season. I always liked the series to incorporate stuff relevant in the media - bitcoin, NSA etc. Though they tend to loose steam going for the full 22 episodes. Last season start to drag with the whole Diane stuff which is still going on.

The Blacklist - Okayish start of the season. There are some scenes wherein a guy is wearing a hoodie while sitting in a car ie not showing his face. That and some parts of the case resolution were pretty lame.

Gotham - Okayish. Story was lame and served more as a way to introduce characters than anything. Frankly the way it started off I don't really have high hopes for it. In comparison, Agents of Shield/Arrow premiere were much better. I think a series based on earlier adventures of Batman; the whole conquering fear and travelling the world stuff/Raas Al ghul (montage in Batman Begins) would be more interesting story - how batman actually became batman and learned all the stuff/
