English TV series discussion

onto 7th season of peep show. this series is the best thing since half life.

Watched Sherlock S3 E3, best of the three, I must say!
For me the season was 3/5 :|

May be Sherlock setup the "Did you miss me?" broadcast ;)
 
true detective first episode was very good. great to see woody and matthew together. there is this inexplicable beauty about small town murders and mysteries and how the detectives go about solving it. on top of this, the character of matthew seems very interesting - dark, reticent yet effective and focused. i think we are in for a treat
 
I really hope writers don't disappoint us by giving us some crappy explanation for Moriarty's return ( like Mycroft airing that to get his brother back). Come on, you guys have a whole year to think of clever stories . Thats why are we are happy having 3 episodes in a year so you guys can have the time to come up with the absolute best. Don't compromise on the quality of the writing ( Like you did with ep1 and 2 of Season 3).
 
I'm almost done with 4th season of Modern Family, which has probably been the best season in the entire series. However, I would need recommendations for a comedy show to fill that gap now, and fast.

This is called addiction :) Sounds dirty though.
 
Person of Interest brilliantly tackles 'Plane Movie' genre.
Kudos for use of North by Northwest.

Sherlock S03 - :(
1. Less time spent on cases. Heck even the weakest episode IMO - Hound of Baskerville had more detective plot than all of the episodes put together in S03. Ran out of ideas?
2. No resolution to "how" Sherlock survived. Classic Moffat hand.
3. Magnussen thing - the library. Classic bullshit and Dues Ex Machina writing. Show something and then resolve something else. - Hail the mystery. They just took monologuing Indian vamps/bahu to the next level. Worst episode and laziest writing I have seen for a mystery show.
4. "Did you miss me?" - Just relegating to cheap tricks to pull people to 4th Season. Another of mysteries Moffat will forget to address
5. Re-interpretations have been the strong point of Sherlock. As if the whole Mary thing wasn't enough, if they do 4th, then its just gonna take it to one level down - the Elementary level (the whole Moriarty thing).
