English TV series discussion

Saying it again, people looking for howlarious tongue-and-cheek fun,Should look into Veep. J Louie is awesome
Before the start of Season 2 of Banshee,I decided to save up all the episodes together, then watch it at one go.Sadly, couldnt do it.it is THAT good.Spectacular action scenes and awesome fun

I finished the first season of Banshee. Didn't like it that much. It's like a comic book in television format, but with not so great acting, and a story with many loopholes. Also, I don't get the part about sexual content being hyped up in the previous pages here. There is hardly much of it in the show. It's just there, but I don't think it's worth more than a mere mention.

On 16th Episode of Season 7 of Two and Half Men the last whole month has been this and i never felt bored

@blkrb0t @Santa Maria!

Comic bookish and good fun are exactly how I'd describe Banshee.
When is that a bad thing?

Hey, I like it. I was just agreeing about the part where he said comic-book-like, not brilliant acting, plot-strength being okayish and the sexy parts not being all that the hype made them out to be.

So this thing is half-way through season 2, huh. I'll be catching up over the next few days.

^^ It was downright boring.

Seems like the show should stick with what it does best!
Last episode felt like an attempt to engage the viewer with the characters and result was me falling asleep midway!

Started watching 'Elementary' - a so-so series IMO. Very similar to Castle.
Also started 'True Detective' - just the pilot. Seems promising.

Want to start watching The walking dead S04 and supernatural s09 but waiting for them to get over. I really don't like waiting for next episode every week so wait for the season to complete. But this hiatus these all serials took has extended wait.
Currently office is hilarious to watch and i was going to write off this show after watching couple of episodes, glad i did not.

This is what I don't like to do. :)
I too don't like that feeling.
But once whole internet (fb/this thread/memes) started flooding, its becomes irresistible. :p :p

I was traveling during the GOT S03E09, and I hadn't had the chance to watch it. Once everybody started talking about it, it was like 'wtf happened there' . I hate that feeling even more. :D

Yeah more and more i feel some shows are suited for weekly viewing basis and some shows should be watched at one go. Especially comedy shows i dont really like watching per episode, the chain of hilarity gets broken. I dunno but Big bang theory just seems so poor in comparsion to what it was earlier ( Or maybe this is the effect of watching it per episode rather than entire season ?)On the other hand, suspense shows like Pretty little liars , Once upon a time(not technically a suspense show, but has lots of twists and backstories) and Blacklist i watch weekly as i keep looking forward to what will happen next.

I have found myself to lose interest in a show if i watch on weekly basis and hence stopped this practice.
It is like i have a momentum now to watch The Office and if i break it by watching it with other shows, i won't be able to properly see either.
But that is just me and may not be applicable to others.

Brooklyin nine nine is fantastic. What clever writing and all the cast members complement each other. My favorite is Gina , the way she injects sarcasm into her statements , plus her laid back and goofy conversation style. The train wreck that BBT, 2.5 men, HIMYM( the episodes airing now are good though) are suffering in the current season , its refreshing to see an original and delightful comedy
