English TV series discussion

Been on the list after watching a trailer. Very few actors I recognised here but doesn't matter, Sly just carries the whole thing and the dialogue is pretty good.

Definitely recommended for a slower pace with character development
It's nice Tulsa King, apart from it catching the dune prophecy and the second season of wolf Hall and silo weekly...
All are pretty good albeit from varied genres

Another great espionage thriller series just premiered 2 days back on paramount /showtime..

The Agency

2 episodes are out around an hours length each.. Found it good enough.. Decent budget..
George Clooney and Michael Fassbender are producers and Michael Fassbender also stars in it...

Dexter New Blood season finale was a resounding meh....

I thought they wanted to improve on the crappy ending that Dexter got but they failed.

Felina (Breaking Bad finale) still stands heads and shoulders above the rest for anti-heroes.
Here we go again, Lets see what they have for us this time

Why not watch the original series in french with subtitles?

Day of the Jackal - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt24053860/ - 8/10

Slick and nicely done. The production and technical value of the whole series is top notch. The last and final part seems to have been rushed as they wanted to get it over and move on to season 2. Eddie Redmayne as Jackal just nails it. However the female lead acting is just wooden and definitely a misfit and somebody much better could have been chosen. Hope the 2nd season will be as interesting as this.

Been in two minds whether to watch it or not. If there's a second season then it doesn't conclude in season 1 and the story must be quite different compared to the original story from which both movies I have seen.

The crux of the story is same but it is totally different from the original one. You can guess where the story is heading and maybe the series should have been shortened to eight episodes instead of ten. Nevertheless it is entertaining.
