Just zooms past any bike in one go..

^^Lol. Mine also used to fluctuate. 30 kmpl is the best that I am able to extract out of it. Else its mostly in the range of 20-25 or so. But its so much fun to ride. You have done any mods on yours?

I actually have a RX166

:S

Did you mod and overclock it ? :bleh:

Yeah, the RX100 is a legend among 2-strokes, as I said a bike on steroids :P

Always dreamed of owning a RX, its never too late for anything :hap2:

I have mostly checked online classifieds, did not find any RX135 on sale.

RX100 is overhyped. RX135 is better anyday :S power or mileage.

BTW somu, you cant simply overbore the cylinder and plonk a big piston in  we have aluminium blocks you know

Went to Karol Bagh today, tried a couple of RX and on an impulse bought a 1998 model RX135 :hap2:

Cost of bike 8000 rupees :jumpy: :yahoo:

Will post pics later, time to spruce up the baby:ohyeah:

WTF so cheap? are you sure its not a stolen bike? Did you check the papers?

I have a bad feeling you'll have to spend a LOT now :P

Nope, it ain't stolen :bleh: . Bought it from a bike dealer, all papers in order, registration, previous insurance, PUC and even the delivery receipt. Infact it belonged to a delhi policewala. :P

The bike doesn't seem in that bad shape, but i'll know only once I take it to servicing.

u damn lucky man, price is fantastic, and dont remove that police sticker, comes to good use sometimes......do update bout how the servicing goes.

I see lotta things wrong :P

Tank repainted, engine part repainted ( never seen a pilice guys bike engine repainted :S ) rear suspension heightened, battery acid leaking, silencer but, etc etc.

By looking at the toolbox, I have a strong feeling you got a RXG.

Do one thing. Remove the bottom chain guard and look at the end of the swingarm on the left side, i.e., just below the rear axle. Hope there is no "RXG" writtent there :P or, check the magnet and tell me if there are holes in it or it has a thick grep plate rivetted to it.

Wow that was quick, by looking at the picture you could tell so much about the bike, I don't even want to imagine what would happen if you get the bike in ur hands doc :bleh:

Yeah, it seems like a lot of work has to be done on the bike to bring it up to the mark :P , and work will only start next weekend due to office, but its definitely a RX135, the registration, insurance papers and the invoice when the bike was bought all says RX135.

Yes, the engine has been painted black, the dealer has agreed to changed the painted parts with another bike which has not been painted.

@banik....yeah, the police sticker will come in handy :P

Is it true that older bikes do not need insurance anymore ?

I wont trust that...n u shd believe me....u shd

Nice- What's the month and year of registration? :)

Make sure Chassis number and Engine number are cleanly engraved in a neat staright line with no marks/scratches in and around that area and match the one in the books. :P

Insurance is a must- be it car or bike. :)

BTW, 8K is not a lwrate- RXs sell for that much in markets with no demand for 2-strokes- people in Mumbai and Delhi, esp those looking for used bikes as commuters, are mainly 4-stroke oriented for mileage issues.

OK, check the engine number. If it begins with 1L5, its a RXG. If it begins with 4TL, it s a RX135 4 speed.

tell that to the dealers :bleh: , he said point to any part and it shall be replaced with anything that I choose from any standing bike

I'm in a dilemma whether to interchange the painted parts with another bike, or get the present one chemically washed. Anyways I am going to nickel paint the rusted parts, rim, spokes. The dealer said that the engine can also be nickel painted or something to give it a metallic look, like in a bullet, so maybe i'll go for that. And BTW a enfield bullet was selling for 7k at the same shop :P but that was without proper papers.

Yeah, the seat has to go, didn't change it yesterday as was in a hurry. My gal was seating inside the car in the parking lot while I went shopping for bikes ;) .

@archish--don't scare me now, the papers definitely looked original  , will have a close look and put it under the magnifying glass once I'm back home from office.

Bikey....the year was 1998, don't know abt the month, will check for the numbers on the chassis tomorrow, stupid monday :Comp3: . The bike was home delivered today in the morning

archish as a victim. bought a bike which had RX135 written all over the papers and bike. turned out to be an RXG
