File sharing sites blocked by department of telecom!

There is a report in paper that this has been done by court order to prevent piracy of "Singham" movie by Reliance but the isp's blocked the websites totally

I wasn't aware India too had things like a John Doe order. It should be interesting this - considering Reliance can sue just about anyone for pirating / facilitating piracy of their movie.

The DOT logo is gone but none of those sites are opening. Anyone else on Reliance facing this issue?

I was having trouble accessing these sites. But changed the resolv.conf file and to OpenDNS and everything works now as it should.

Was not happening yesterday . Rapidshare is still working fine.

EDIT : now even www.isohunt.com is not working Targeting torrents as well

Guys this is bad, i wonder if something needs to be thought / done by us.

Otherwise these people will hold us ransom for even sh!tti*est movies. they will release all crap films and and block our content.

It now seems we do not live in democracy but a congress controlled state. If tomorrow they want they will also block our basic needs like email, chat and finally internet.
