Yeah, even my APC UPS 15 years ago used to have that option.Dont have any idea about 0% or 50%, but my Cyberpower UPS has an option to shutdown or hibernate at 5%.

Ok you win. Let me find the battery protection circuit that handles that so I can discharge to 0%.Who says we can't discharge battery to 0%. They should go down to at least 10% if needed because inverters do allow that. If the UPS is not allowing that, then it's a design flaw. Plus when I used 50% efficiency, it was already a worse case scenario. Usually inverters are at least 80% efficient and the good ones are even 90% efficient.
If it's such basic , I would suggest you to buy a 10 inch tablet insteadFriends, I need a windows laptop for my son in class 12th.
Very basic needs like running zoom, browsing web but need excellent battery life and preferably, lightweight.
Can you suggest a good deal ?
Thanks
Thanks. If it's such basic , I would suggest you to buy a 10 inch tablet instead
Then I would suggest don't go for any basic laptop , get something which he can use for next 3 years at least .Thanks.
I have an iPad but my son needs a laptop. Older laptop is dying, so was thinking on getting current gen laptop.
Running computer classes on iPad is not possible as he has to execute small programs written in Python, etc to fulfil his syllabus
I remember this brand launching in India in 2k13 or something. Was amazed by their features and pricing against APC. I even ringed their support team for offers etc. but nobody showed up. They also had their Indian website back then which is now nowhere to be found. Seems they wrapped up their biz few yrs ago.Dont have any idea about 0% or 50%, but my Cyberpower UPS has an option to shutdown or hibernate at 5%.
They are highly recommended in US based PC Build threads like r/buildapc etc. Especially this Pure Sine Wave one - https://www.amazon.com/CyberPower-CP1500PFCLCD-Sinewave-Outlets-Mini-Tower/dp/B00429N19WI remember this brand launching in India in 2k13 or something. If you really want to spend , their have been some really good deals at FK
I've ordered it. Thanks for the leadWhen i posted the offer it was at the normal price in the recent past, around 3599. Lowest price ever was 3299 but forget about that now. There were only two pieces in stock now they're gone. But amazon will be getting more soon they are claiming. It's probably the best sata ssd you can buy. I myself need to buy one because my mobo doesn't support m2, and i was holding out thinking i'll upgrade the board first and then get nvme. but my current ssd is showing signs of severe wear and could die anytime. Why didn't i buy it myself now? because the goddamn govt. has restricted non essential couriers.
I mean on paper the pros are better but for most people the Evo performance is more than enough. Doesn't justify the price difference imo. A 500gb evo probably makes more sense than a 256gb proI've ordered it. Thanks for the lead
Yeah, from performance perspective both Evo and Evo Pro are bottlenecked by the SATA interface and are going to perform more or less the same. When it comes to endurance, Evo Pro has 2x endurance for the same capacity than Evo, but that comes at the expense of 2x higher cost.I mean on paper the pros are better but for most people the Evo performance is more than enough. No real tangible benefits...870 Evo has Read and Write at 560 MB/s and 530 MB/s while 860 Evo has at 550 MB/s and 520 MB/s. Again, 870 Evo has marginal improvement in IOPS but at the cost of marginal increase in average power consumption. I am also gonna get one of these, preferably 870 Evo as there are more chances of it being in stock, when there's some decent discount offer on FK or AMZ.I think i read somewhere that the 870 evo is a step up in comparison to the 860 Evo's performance. Not sure about this though. Anyway, I'm buying one as soon as there's a bank offer.
