Games for Non-GFX Rig

No actually i havn't :ashamed: I've heard it's an awesome game and also about sequels...Do you think it will run on my system?

AMD Athlon / Intel Pentium 4 1 GHz processor

256 MB RAM

DirectX 9.0c or higher

DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

4x DVD or 16x CD ROM

4 GB HDD free space

64 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics card

Broadband 64 kbit/s upstream (512 kbit/s upstream for 8 players) :p Will run definitely. Cause i know i have a CPU>1GHz :lol:
 
Wonderful... try it mate! It's one of my favorite FPS shooters of all time. Gameplay is great, not to mention the lovely sprawling outdoor environments, it's a real blast to play through Far Cry :eek:hyeah:
 
I will, First lemme complete this MP2...man this game is awesome guys...WTH i never played this one before...well when u lose something(GPU) you also gain something(Nice Game). :p It's awesome. Next is Far Cry definitely. :)
 
Aaah, the NOLF series was also great. Dang, this thread has brought up some old classics from the past. Altair must be one happy gamer now :D

Hehe...yeah so many games that i now play on a HD4250 that i did not played on a HD5770. :p Enough games to play untill the 7xxx series are launched. :D Thanks Guys.
 
I've ended all POP series but haven't played any MOH series. :ashamed: Will see....i still have a dozen of games pending to play on my awesome GPU H-D-4-2-5-0. :bleh:
 
Oi Guys, Just ended MP2 @5:07 AM. :eek:hyeah: and the game is Awesome...!! Really nice game good Storyline. Loved it. Anyways, Now want to play Far cry. Where can i buy that game? Any Link? No Broadband now...IIT's AIEEE's and all...Dad-Internet-Gone...:( otherwise would have downloaded the ahem-ahem version. :p But will buy it now...Link for the cheapest please. Thanks. :)

P.S- Would've bought from Flipkart @Rs.239 only. :p But it's out of stock. :(
 
In my opinion go for the followings:

1.max payne2

2.NFS Most wanted-believe me it runs on the stock onboard card.

3.Far cry.- U have to get the latest patch for it to run on windows 7/windows vista.

4.Doom 3

5.Half life 2-comlete series.

6.Counter strike 1.6

7.Oblivion- Will be able to run on 730p with effects lowered.

8.Quake 4.

9.prince of persia 1,2,3.

10.F.E.A.R.-1

11.C.O.D.-1,2,3. Even 4-But @ 720p with effects lowered.

12.Brothers in arms-Road to Hill 30.

13.Bad company 2.

15.Mass Effect-1.Would be able to play @ 720p.

16.GTA- san andreas

17.HitMan-2,3,4

U can play the abouve games @ full effects on yr onboard card.But only in a few u have to lower yr details or probably resolution even.

Belive me, earlier i had played these games on my onboard laptop card ,so should do fine on desktop ones.
 
I have only these setups with me currently -

COD 5

Far Cry - i installed it and tried to play the keyboard and mouse is working fine in the game menu but as the game starts i cant use the mouse - its like the mouse is dead - what might be the problem ?

Medal of Honor - Airborne

Operation.Flashpoint.Dragon.Rising

Flatout 2

Any good games out of these or i need to download any other ?
 
AFAIK you will have a tough time to get operation flashpoint running at playable frame rates.

COD5, Farcry, MOH will run on low details with pretty much playable frame rates.

Flatout2 will run smooth.

Go through the control settings in Far cry menu, you might have missed to assign something.

AFAIK the mouse will run regradless of any settings done because i used default settings - the mouse was working in the game menu

and when the game starts there is a small tutorial to play in that i am able to move the player through keyboard but not able to use the mouse

i tried mouse settings also but to no gain :(
 
You should be able to play, Age of Empires -2 , conquerors edition on voobly and gameranger servers.
Its strategic game, quite fun and very very addictive.
And they have minimal system requirement.

I just hate age of empires and warcraft type of games :)

@ chirag - i use xp 32bit :)

any solution now ?
