Budget 41-50k Gaming PC for 50K+

considering price of Intel i5 3570K to be 14500...
please correct me on pricing of any components...

Corsair XMS3 2X4GB 1600mhz (9-9-9-24)
or
Corsair Vengence 2X4GB 1600mhz (9-9-9-24)
or
GSkill Ripjaws 2X4GB 1600mhz (7-8-7-24)

Power Supply -> Corsair TX750V2 => will it be an overkill for above setup + 1 more Graphics card in future?

A Corsair HX650W ~6800/- will be more helpful in keeping the cables in check. But the Corsair TX V2 750W is a shade cheaper and offers a higher rated output.

Tighter latency RAM will not upset any real-time performance numbers; so stick to 9-9-9-24 and try to over-clock and tighten settings.

Pricing of the processor maybe of, I recently saw Prime ABGB had it for 17500/-; now that has been taken down. In fact I have been way optimistic on the pricing front. Well here lie my speculations, shattered.

The IT Wares only has the non-k models for grabs.

Skip the SSD for now, replace the Sony DVD drive for a HP OR Samsung / LG OEM optical drive.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!!

Considering 9-9-9-24, if i intend to install CM EVO2, will vengence fit in properly ?
Power Supply is almost finalized to Corsair TX V2 750W (price?!)
As far as DVD, i have very bad experience with LG :1ign27:

one i personally use is Sony... though it also got faulty within warranty period, i got new one(i think so!) at their service center and ever since it has given me no problem what's so ever, so i was looking for Sony only, can you suggest any better except LG? (Box or OEM, price?)

what about GPU?

Well google showed up that the situation will be very tight; prefer that you go for a low profile heat-spreader equipped RAM module [Corsair Vengeance: Low Profile].

Hyper 212 Evo doesnt fit with 4x4 corsair vengeance - Corsair - Motherboards-Memory / http://www.techenclave.com/cpu-mobo-corner/cooler-master-hyper-212-evo-130797/ / Will HYPER 212+ touch corsair vengeance??.

For OEM / boxed DVD drives look here --
HP dvd1260i ~1030/-
Samsung OEM piece ~1000/- [sold in the local PC market, loose] OR Samsung SH-222 ~1025/-
LiteOn iHAS324 ~1064/-

what is it eith E-IDE interface in Samsung Drive?
Sony has better speed, buffer memory in all above...

instead of going for CM EVO2, if i go for Corsair H60 or H80, will it resolve RAM height problem? though then it will add 4k+ to the budget, and rig will be Corsair special (Cabinet + Power Supply + RAM + CPU Cooler + SSD???!!!) :23:

You do realize those are theoretical values, actual performance in the real-world is not even half these proposed numbers [until you have an SSD perchance].

About the SAMSUNG drive, I missed it. I have the same drive [OEM package] with me and it has a SATA interface; do not know whether this is actually an IDE drive OR is it a typo on flipkart's part.

Okay so now you want to go for a closed loop water cooler set-up?

yes, those r theoretical values, but for same price range it is offering better features compared to rest, anyways... had any bad experience with Sony drive?

for CPU cooler, i was considering H60 at first -> H80 (not interested in H100, out-of-reach for this budget!!!)
as budget was not permitting, i went for CM EVO2 (just 1 year warranty, :fear_2: compared to 5 year on Corsair H series)
also H60/H80 is to setup compared to CM EVO

i might be stretching the budget to 60k...

Yep!! refused to play DVD's both pirated maal and non-pirated; very iffy about the media. Used to end up scratching the DVD's I would put in for writing of data / music / films and then not play the same media.

Talking about offering features at a price point is like trying to suggest performance purely by specification charts,in that case an AMD FX-8150 should theoretically be better for you but that is not the case. I will throw my lot after the boxed HP OR LiteOn optical drives to be able to get an RMA incase anything goes wrong.

Instead of the Corsair H series only do look at the SVG Tech HOC 20 OR HOC 40, here is a review. And here is the deal thread.

And you are wrong about the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO methinks, it has a Limited Warranty of 2 years [from date of purchase].

Hope this clarifies, Cheerio!!

I looked at few sites where i found warranty to be 1 year only but usa site says warranty is 2 years...
check these out: Page1, Page2 and USA site: tht is why i am

I just checked prices for Corsair H80 and H100 and there is just 10$ difference, don't how much will tht reflect at our place....

"also H60/H80 is to EASY setup compared to CM EVO"

i was unaware of H80 and H100 pricing, but it seems that H100 will cost around 7500... don't know about H80

Instead of the Corsair H100 go for the SVG Tech HOC40, you will save ~1000/- right there.

There is no news on the availability of Core i5 3570k line-up in India. So you will have to wait some more, expect the price to be a total shocker when it releases thanks to the totally screwed SUPPLY: DEMAND situation.

Consider going for a single card setup, instead of CrossFire down the line; if you have strict plans to enter a multi-GPU setup it is best within ~6 months of buying the RIG, else there is no point investing in another card when the next generation family is on the release ticker.

If you can live with it, go for a HD 7850 2GB and a Corsair TX V2 650W. Save another ~1000/- there I don't think you can cut costs on any other component(s).

The cost of the BenQ E2420HD ~11000/-.

OR if you want to extend the timeline for acquiring your system you can also --
  • shelve plans to buy any component apart from -- Cabinet, monitor, cooler, RAM and hard-drive;
  • wait for the Ivy-Bridge chips to arrive and prices to stabilize, hope it is done before September OR you can keep waiting till Haswell;
  • think about a Sandy-Bridge system / Ivy-Bridge system - over-clocking.

First of all, surely not going for any sandy bridge and non-k Ivy bridge setup... :confused1:

I wanted to go for 3D monitor but as they r very expensive so planning to get them in next 1-2 years...
next to it, Benq G2420HD is best option i came across, HDMI-in (HDMI 1.3a !!!), Headphone-Jack(the purpose??? other than it is close from back panel of cabinet not sure), 2ms GTG and 5ms typical response time, is there any other which can match these with less price and/or size(won't matter as long as it is full HD)

for Power supply,it should be at least 80+certified, i won't be changing once i install it at first place unless it goes dead or i go for complete new rig... so ???

I can postpone HDD, get second hand one, for tht i am keeping aside 2500...

even i think single graphics card will be more than enough with iGPU, but not sure about future demands with Windows8 OS and 3D... if single GPU is sufficient then can you suggest any other ASUS Z77 board? if price difference is not more than 1.5-2k between them, i might stick to P8-Z77-V...

well, looking at current availability and price of i5-3570k, what will be the case with Haswell series!!!! :scared14:
since its release as of 23rd April 2012, i5-3570k is more or less "out of stock" only... even some vendors were unaware of its release in mid-May 2012... :bleh: so i will stick to i5-3570k only,

so new total comes around for phase-I is: 63250

Well if full HD is the only pre-requisite then you can look at these 22" [actual screen space is 21.5"] monitors --
Dell ST2220L ~8500/-
BenQ E2220HD ~8300/-

By the time Windows 8 comes will you really need a software that doesn't support most application. When it comes it will need to prove its mettle against Windows 7 and then also it will need to have a large standing application support [without any bugs].

For second hard drives you can check up the deal thread, in my opinion go for the Western Digital Blue 750GB.

Also about 3D mate, it will not become mainstream anytime soon in India because of the following reasons --
  • high price of compatible hardware;
  • lacklustre driver support;
  • it is fad till a single GPU cannot power a 3D game, simply because most people are fine with games on a 2D screen as long as it plays well;
  • finally I find 3D movies currently to be rather immature, so until gaming will do something that is more than to just things coming out of screen I am going to give it a pass [just my P.O.V].

Also by the time the 3D systems become mainstream I feel a lot of new hardware will be up for grabs.

The Corsair TX V2 650W will be fine [it is 80+ Bronze certified] and will be fine even if you have a HD 7950 2GB [single] in your RIG.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!!

:yahoo:
BenQ E2220HD seems really a catch, little more on response time (5ms) and power (63W compared to 49W of G2420HD) but good on wallet (8300 compared to 11000) + Speakers+USBx4, am i missing anything?

almost closing towards 60k budget... except GPU... (65750 without GPU)

:1ign20: ALPHA17 a lot helping out ...

now, the main thing remains is Processor Price+ Motherboard (ASUS Z77 Series) and its price update !!!

Asus P8Z77-V = 15.4k according to prime not 11.5k
Asus P8Z77-V Intel Z77 Chipset Motherboard

for 11.4k Asus P8Z77-V LX is available

The
ASUS P8Z77-M PRO costs ~11500/-
ASUS P8Z77-V LX ~11500/-
ASUS P8Z77-V ~15400/-
ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE ~17900/-

Out of these on a tight budget I will go for the M-PRO, the -V LX is heavily cut down motherboard that is very expensive for what it offers.

Intel i5 3570K current price Rs.15,700 because of raising $ price. If you buy all your product through one shop then you will get some discount.

Thanks for the heads up, where have you got this quote from?

thank you all for those price updates,
so, considering your price updates, total increases by 5100/- to 81750/-... (65570/- without GPU)
taking into price for,
ASUS P8Z77-V ~15400/-
Intel i5 3570K ~ 15700/-

as for motherboard, i am not going to consider M-PRO and V-LX, so it remains between,
ASUS P8Z77 V or P8Z77 V-PRO or P8Z77 V-Deluxe ...

The only "hard to find" component so far is i5-3570k...

if we buy from outside india, will Intel processor will have warranty issue ???
