Re: The God of War III thread!

Finally finished the game. Totally brutal and awesome game.
Guys is there any trophy for the Chaos mode?

Re: The God of War III thread!

Killed Hercules today. Don't know but I found that fight to be easier than in the God mode. Probably I got the drift.

EDIT: Killed Cronos as well today :D Was too easy as well.....but I am stuck at the place where 8 big monster things spawn. They would just kill me, no matter how much I try.

Yeah and can't afford to mash buttons anymore. Having a difficult time as it is with Heavy Rain's controls. It feels like I'm putting my controller through a torture session. :(

Re: The God of War III thread!

^GOW3 button mashing sequences are way easier than any other game. Just keep looking at the four corners of the screen. The button mashing sequences do not hamper the excitement and brutality of the sequences unlike other games.

It's not the experience that is hampered, it's just the controller I'm worried about. It's fairly annoying to keep mashing the circle button to open a bloody door. Why can't we just tap a button once and be done with it? Is it really that necessary?

Also the analog left and right mashing. This is by far the most frustrating thing, EVER. I had this problem in God of War 2 as well when we have to ride the Pegasus OR in God of War when you had to pass that rope section and enemies from both side would keep coming. I'm not sure what purpose it serves to be honest, but I have never liked this "feature" in hack-en-slash titles.

well yes it is necessary from the developers point of view.they wants you to feel the same excitement or emotions which your charecter is going through.

tapping more than once increases your anxiety and makes you more focused or hooked i mean "omg whats going to happen noe" or "come on come on" kind of feeling.to be precise it pumps more adrenaline.

To be honest, I would rather have that feeling when I'm beating the hell out of someone; Hercules for example. That sequence was understandable. But the door opening thing is kind of idiotic and the analog tilting part which I mentioned earlier. It doesn't really do justice to the sequence.

Re: The God of War III thread!

^^lol well they actually wants you to feel the excitement of these little moments also.

if the door is colossal then it is also assumed to be heavy.which means it cannot be opened easily.therefore the player must feel how difficult it is to open it.

Are baba, trust me, the Titan mode is more than button mashing. Agreed that you can get away in the easy mode by random button pressing; in the Titan mode you got to have a strategy or you won't move ahead.

I don't think you get my point. I understand the part when you need to execute every move strategically, but there are points when you have to keep mashing buttons during quick time events.

Re: The God of War III thread!

^Try the weapon of Herculeas, i defeated him with that weapon last time.
I'm on the level where you need to get to Hades and kill him on Titan difficulty.

^^^

Finished the game on the Titan Difficulty, finally. Zeus was a hard nut to crack but with some strategy it was not that tough :P

Not sure if I should try the Chaos mode. I guess the game should go to the library now.

Will play it once to have fun with those godly items. Will try to finish the game in less than 5 hours now. (On easy mode of course)
