Give some air man, keep it on flat surface and if possible keep it vertically. Don't block the back ventilation.

Always use the latest and mega pack, dean is always busy and the updates are released freaquently...

4) My warranty card is not stamped, obviously as it was sealed, so bill will be enough to get the warranty?

1) Yes you can now directly install Kmeaw CFW 3.55 from usb fat32 formatted drive.

2) For the first time a new controller takes more than 3hrs, the 4 leds will stop blinking when charging is over.

3) If you connect to wifi it might ask you to update so its better so dat you dont connect as accidental update might happen.

4) Ya should be enough for the warranty claim, don't worry about that.

A September SKU with 3.55 firmware? :O

One of my friend just called me up for similar console purchase dilemma. Looking at your luck, funjabi, I have somehow convinced him to get the 160GB version from Letsbuy. Hope he gets it and luck favours the firmware. ;)

O man you are so lucky. I am so scared and feeling absolutely hopeless about my PS3's version. Its still out for delivery. Will be touch to wait till tomorrow.

Just don't go online. That is the only precaution you will need to take. Also i think some of the newer games require the latest update. How will you compensate for that?

2 Of my friends ordered it from Letsbuy and they recieved it from their Bangalore warehouse and got AUG 2011 make with 3.50 FW, looking at this i ordered it as well (got a fuel game free), and i got it from Delhi Warehouse,opened to see that it was sept 2011 :(
But to my surprise, it was 3.55!
Better than 3.50 i guess, no pain of installing 3.55 ofw before JB'in haha :D
Btw,Bangalore ware house has old 320gb move bundles, but i assume the ones in delhi warehouse are 3.60 :(
 
Fully charging the controller for first time takes around 2 hours there after it should not take more than half hour.

Also no one told you this but do not keep the console on soft surface try to keep on a wooden plate or best on a glass plate keeping it on a soft surface will result in quickly heating up the console.

Finally I would like whether you would be buying games in future because ps3 scene is almost dead and people are.luring towards ps3 considering its great exclusive line up they should also consider ps3 is not a hacked console if you wanted to get a console with fully homebrew capabilities I would rather recommend xbox 360 to those people or else you mouth just end up selling your console.

What is meant by PS3 scene is almost dead?

I have both Xbox360 and PS3 and I don't know what to do with my Xbox360 other than the exclusives like GeOW, Alan Wake.

Both are non hacked btw.

He is referring to the homebrew scene which has gone inactive for sometime now. :P

Buy legit titles and play! Very unfortunate but face it. This is the third time you are buying the very same console. You could have at least preserved the last one which was jailbroken.

I am really regretting the decision. And the worst part is my kid isn't liking the move, for which I bought it.

So shall I upgrade to the 3.72? I cant do anything anyway :P At least I'll be able to download the demos .....:S

Buying legit games makes you enjoy them even more and you'll always want to get the most out of whatever's on offer in the game.

For example, I played UC3 and Batman AC for close to 40 hours each.
