Graphic Cards GPU pricing trends

Damn spending one lakh and more for gpu.. I guess when you can't have it.. you want to have it at any cost.
Either I'm still poor as I was in 2015 or everyone else got rich quick by buying crypto. Every other person is having 1 lakh + money to spend on gpu. And I still look out for those used deals on gpu
Guess I'm poor.

Ya it's the original one, somebody tagged him in that post too and he replied in comments saying it was sold out fast.
Sold out fast toh theek hai it seems to be new type of publicity stunts people are doing. Open Youtube and see loads of Vloggers promoting post lockdown prices of popular Nehru place delhi for example with half rates which were not even valid pre lockdown rates. They are trying to lure in customers to markets so that people come in running only to find out that you won't find anything at that price because it was limited stock just like this post. Business business everywhere.
Ignore such too good to be true posts/low pricing deals unless the GPU pricing is normalized on popular ecommerce websites which will actually show the truth

Ya have seen those, made for marketing. This could be similar too who knows.

My friend recently bought a used wagon-r for 1.6lacs with factory cng. This will pay him off well for years to come without worrying about scalping/mining and shit! Thats whats called investment..

Trust me, being poor is an incredible blessing for this sort of thing.

Damn bro.. a really good investment.

Actually true .. there have been times where I'm like I'll buy this 96k 3070. Then I proceed to open my bank app.. check my balance and then I'm like ooh shit I don't have the money. Ooh well let's cook dinner.

Only a pure scalper or a miner will buy existing gpus at whatever costs offered as he either will recover the amount via mining or already have earned a lot to waste it or risk buying it only to sell it further at higher prices.
Or only a despo, an uber rich or one who has tons of money but his brain got no idea where to spend/waste it will buy these gpus..

What I don't understand is.. before pandemic I never saw such interest in gaming. I know people had life etc before pandemic and after pandemic they are stuck at home so going for the gaming. But there are other things to do to. Like paint, workout, learn a new skill. I don't see price of gym equipment, paints or canvas going up.
But people are ready to shell out 1lakh+ just for a piece of tech.

You missed something important. A huge performance boost with new tech at a much lower price that RTX 2000 series. See the performance and the officially announced prices of RTX 3000. They were so damn good value. My guess is people found out that these cards minted a good value of crypto and the pandemic closed down the market and nearly wiped out the entire industry barring medical and essentials so many people were looking at other sources of investment and crypto happened to be the best one to them.
If not for crypto gamers would be having a blast!

I understand your point and it's correct too.. but here I can see the lazyness. Throw money buy things.. no need to physical labour etc.

Btw the techdreams post looks like an ad. Else it would've been an open but albeit limited sale like what Acro did. Acro sale was transparent like techdreams. What Acro did was honestly a very nice gesture. Though I don't think they would do it ever again. If I could get a Zotac 3070 at 45k I would be good. :D

Well they are rich and we are not lol. Trust me, I saved for years with the hope to get a new PC last year and my plans all screwed now. I was hoping to get used 2080 after seeing the officially released prices of the 3000 series. And CPU prices are also screwed.

.... and I was thinking why the hell 3070 is so expensive at 45k, I'll wait and see when we get sub 20k cards

........... The wait is endless :tearsofjoy:

Yes... I feel comfortable when I see other people also thinking 3070 at 45k is expensive. Lol.
But yes it is expensive.
And yes the wait is endless.
There was a video of micro center.. people rushing like it was black friday.. damn

We all still waited for prices to come down or for used 2070/80 or 3060 but this time this waiting was a pure extreme ultra bad decision which is now backfiring like anything...
Gaming or not its like investment for everyone like gold or real estate.
You buy for 80k and soon in weeks sell it off for 1.2lacs or whatever premium and its guaranteed gonna get sold!

Need to tweet modi and he might soon come up with made in India GPU or some patanjali 3080ti for just 20k or so. And if bought from govt. godowns it will sell for 5k. Just imagine...:photogenic::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

I am using 1060 and thought 2060 is expensive so waited for next series but 3060 with performance close to 2080 they moved the price bracket from XX60 series to XX70 series so entry level decent gaming series slipped from gamers hand and the only choice we might get will be 3050 but I'll be fooling myself if we can actually think of buying a decent card in 2021

All we need to do is patiently wait 2 years or so out. Things should be back to normal by early 2023, at least I am keeping my hopes alive.
