Does anyone know the maximum length of GPU that can be crammed in a CM ELITE 310?

I was hoping HD6850 would fit(8.5")

The 6850 requires only one PCIe Power Connector

so would the VX450 be able to power it without any overclock?

i think it should fit the card..

you should probably go for a better cabby..

will give you better air flow..giving you better temps..

yes..the 6850 should run on the vx 450 just fine..

actually i have already bought the whole setup

without the GPU

so i was contemplating about the HD6850

I have Antec Silent 2.0 350W one which comes with 2 fans..

Go with the HD 5670 ~ 5k..
a very good card for its price.

I checked out with 2-3 dealers in Pune.@ one place i got answer from ATI Distributor that 512MB(DDR5) version of HD5670 is not available:mad: only 1Gb version available.:(

They are also doubtful about GTX240 512MB(DDR5).

So please suggest me any other alternative.
 
anyone have any clarity on the availability of the 68xx series here in India?? sent Phoenix a msg but he hasnt responded
 
now as 6850 is released..so i am now ready to buy it ..but from where in delhi..recently saw an ad on some site that 6850 sapphire will be priced in india for 11300 inr with 3 year warranty.

i am nvidia fan..because of their driver support and secondly zotac gtx 460 gives 3+2 year warranty on its card instead of 3 year warranty on sapphire cards..so i am confused between these two cards..

i was expecting big price cuts on zotac gtx 460 but now i am seeing that they have just cut it to 11700 inr ..i have also purchased a corsair vx 450 psu..so for this psu i think 6850 is better..

but due to warranty factor and amd driver problem i am confused....

so i want to ask you which card i should prefer or i need to wait for some time as these cards i think are overpriced with respect to american market...

and if you think i am wrong then please provide me the updated pricing of these two cards now in delhi....i am very tight in budget...so if i save 500 bucks on these cards then it will also be great for me...i have been waiting for these cards for 3 months..:(

The HD6850 is a good card. Actually the Zotac has 2 yrs warranty from Aditya infotech service center and 3 yrs direct from Zotac(if u register the GPU with zotac within 15 days of purchase) But i dont know anyone here reporting their experience with RMA with Zotac India directly. There was even a long discussion going on when GTX460 was released.

The card is in preorder and mediahome is in delhi :)

The 11.3k is launch price and if u wait up 2-3 weeks the prices may stabilize and dip to the 10.5k mark

GPU are considered luxury product by customs and thus the bloated price. :mad:

i am also planning to buy 4670 1gb ddr3....but it's from ASUS, so which is best asus or sapphire...

2 months ago also the 512mb or 1GB ones were available but from XFX

even primeabgb didnt had it

and now, if the 512mb one would be available then it would be of XFX :X

go green dude :p just a small effort towards the world well being

coz sapphire uses recycled packaging material ...

and as well their service is good with the custom Vapour-X Cooler on it i guess :| so more cooler

btw dont take 4670 1GB just add about 1-2k more and get HD 5670 512MB sapphire ... if u can , its just a recomendation

you have waited so much its good but if you could wait more then it would be better coz these HD 68xx series are mid ranged like the HD 57xx series

when the 57xx came they were priced at the same level .. i mean at a high price ... i knew a guy who brought the XFX 5770 for 15k and now after 6 months he sold it for 6.4k

i mean to say that these cards are bound to shedd its prices , let the Cayman's come and GTX 5xx series ..

you could be able to get 6870 at 11-12k at that time ..

and as you would be waiting, try saving as well :)

its just my recommendation , dont take it seriously but this is what im telling everyone out there going for the 68xx cards now ..

6850 should work but to be one the safe side .. get a FSP SAGA II 500w one of 2.4k or SIlverStone Strider 500w one for 2.9k

BTW i m being offered GTX 470 For 12 k by My Brother who lives in Aus(OZ) .Is it a good deal? I mean is it better then 6870 .

And also if he sends me as gift packed will it attract customs?

I would not recommend the shipping from aus thing..

there is always an amount of risk involved in this..

and since you have a budget of 15k..thats a sweet spot right now..

mediahome is offering a HD 6870 at 14.8k(preorder, will take a few weeks to arrive)..

you should definitely go with that..

make sure you have a good PSU..

9600gt is not available in market..

and GT240 was the replacement card which was launched long time back..
