Hot Debate : Unicorn or Pulsar?

The TVS Apache is the successor to the Fiero F2 and FX, but only in a chronological sense. In ever other way, the Apache is leaps and bounds ahead. TVS based the motor on the old F2's unit, but stretched it taut and created a motor that's fast, entertaining and still frugal enough to be widely acceptable to 150cc buyers. Further, they created an all-new chassis to create what is easily one of India's best corner carvers and added in their usual engineering excellence to leave the BSM jury looking for an excuse to take points away from it. So thorough was the Apache, that even the usual TVS Achilles' heel – styling – left us falling over each other with compliments. Even naysayers who thought it looked like the current market leader in the photographs fell silent when they first cast eyes on it. Ladies and gentlemen, the Business Standard Motoring Bike Of The Year 2006 is the superb new TVS Apache. Congratulations, TVS!

OMG!!

If any of you'll have been lucky enough to have seen pics or trial runs of the 16bhp, 5speed Suzuki Shogun Big Boss or Suzuki Shadow or whatever it was gonna be called, you will recognise those wheels and front forks and Disc assembly instantly!!
They date way back to good, old 1998 or even a bit earlier!!
But that bike didn't make it to the production line!!:(
Emission norms+Low Economic feasibility then killed it prematurely!!
Coz TVS had suffered big time with the shaolin and Spectra scooter!!
And Fiero f1 didn't pick up well!! Initially, the most Fieros that made it to the roads then were the ones gifted at mall, online competitions, etc!!

The lucky few who got those discs, when Disc brakes were just coming in were the TVS Shaolin riders at Raid De Himalaya!!
The Rally Xtreme category allows mods!!

TVS had loads of those units and a lucky few have it too!!;) :cool2:
