How to clean the inside of a washing machine and keep it that way

Indian Detergents test.
Interesting video. Fortunately they chose liquids since we don't have any consumer testing from the government for liquids as yet.

Surf excel matic liquid for top load comes in at first place for cleaning ability. Tide is second followed by Rin and the surprise is to see Ariel in fourth place here.

Henko is in fifth folowed by a local brand then one by Wipro and last Genteel by Godrej which shouldn't have been in this test as its for natural fibres like silk or wool which the other enzyme containing detergents would destroy.

As a result Genteel will never be able to compete with the others without enzymes.

The trouble with these tests is they can be difficult to reproduce without more samples. For example they should have repeated at least three times per detergent instead oj just once to eliminate exceptions. It's a lot of work.
Thankfully english cc is generated. What language is that? They talk so fast...

Supercharged marathi :D

If you listen at 0.75 they sound normal and I can actually make out some words

I know Marathi. It's not marathi, probably malyalam?
There are a lot of problems i can point out, but lets not look down on them. They did what the govt won't do.

Ideally, they should remove the dirt and soil from the clothes and pour a cap of liquid on each spot. They'll go through an entire bottle looking at the size of the stains. Plus they should have kept the clothes soaking in a bucket for 30 minutes, then used the machine. I saw the machine had a stain removing cycle which they did not use.
I think they got fed up of doing the repeated tests due to the amount of time it took and the amount of water it took. Plus there was a power cut during the test. If I had to do such a test, I would choose small cloth samples instead of these vests. Machines waste a lot of water imo. Such tests should be done on identical machines by some company, not people.

Biggest problem is they didn't do a control test. That is No detergent and only water as shown here

Then compare how that does with the other detergents. Check out his channel for more. The only one I've found that does testing only.

Some other detergent tests by American youtubers. Always things to learn.

For some reason ketchup sold in the US is much harder to get out with detergent than the kind we get here which will go with just plain water.

You have described two methods to clean here.

Which is better pre-treat or presoak?

In fact only one is necessary and works better than the other. Watch

The reason they didn't use the stain clean is they wanted to see what the most commonly used washing programs can do. That too they chose express instead of the regular cycle.

I suppose at the end they could have tried the stain remover program with one of the detergents to see whether it made a difference or not over the express wash.

I've seen other tests by youtubers but they aren't at the same rigour as this one. It's certainly among the better ones I've seen by Indian youtubers for consistent test conditions.

You are forgetting these guys know how to clean the clothes. They are just doing a comparison to show people which works better under a set of conditions.
