pls check if the imei is 15 or 16 digits long.if 15 digits then bad luck as it will be blocked.if 16 digit no probs.
 
^^ You can order it yourself. There are no additional shipping charges at DX and so you don't have to wait for a GO to save money.
 
^^^ is there any customs duty that needs to by paid when we purchase something from DE or does the parcel come directly to our home without any issues?

coz I don't want the courier walla coming with a bill demanding more than the item's value as customs duty...

Half of This IMEI Issue Is USeless ,All Phones IMEI No Can Be changed With Software ,Also CDMa ESN No Can Be Changed ,What The Heck .

Not true my friend. I guess you also got taken in by the misleading article that was carried in the ToI a few days back.
Check the IMEI no. in your Nokia (and other) handsets; even they've a 15-digit IMEI no.

So in case this SciPhone i68+ has an IMEI no., we're good to go! :hap2:

Sorry for the late reply Dinesh.

I was just wanting to confirm about the IMEI thing.
The phone's got a 15 digit IMEI. 2 IMEI's for the 2 slots actually.
And as others have confirmed, even nokia phones have a 15 digit IMEI, it shouldn't be an issue.
Heck, my HTC Touch has a 17 digit IMEI :ashamed:

But I am still repeating myself, I already own the phone, for folks having IMEI worries.. hang on till the 1st of may.
If all's good by then and my phone works.. I will celebrate Maharashtra Day 1st may and you guys order it ! :bleh:

For folks who want to dive in right now.

Here's the deal:

My cousin's consignment coming in this saturday or next monday.
Phones need to be confirmed and money xfrd by wednesday max.
Only then can I confirm delivery by saturday or monday.
Will ship next day as soon as I get them :)
And ya.. shipping will be at actuals obviously.

Update:

I also have a working PC Suite manager for this phone.
Can transfer Contacts / SMS to and from PC.
Just tried sending SMS through the pc.. works like a charm :)
