Yes

yup taxes and all is fine but groww or angelone should also bring this. what if I want to gift some share to someone on a special occasion.
True, they are the only one who are offering this facility.
However, hearing the horror stories of Zerodha's frequent technical glitches, I have moved myself from it and now using Dhan, which is also coming up very nicely and have so many industry first features.

On the contrary, Zerodha is one the most stable brokers in India. Probably the most stable. Trading everyday with them for 3-4 years now.
You are blessed one !
Many of my friends who used to trade with Zerodha have closed the account and moved to other apps.
There has been atleast ~1 major technical glitch which has happened with Zerodha in last 1 year and people have lost lacs of their hard earned money.

But, would not like to argue on this and focus on the thread. Expect the same from you as well :)

Disagree strongly. No need for fear mongering
I take 2k+ trades with them every year. Glitches happen for all. Zerodha generally recovers quickly.
Dhan faced issue few months back too though i don't remember details.
Many professional traders use Zerodha, but some don't to reduce brokerage ( esp options guys).

Anyway no more reply from me too.

Hi all. If someone is completely new to investment in general incl. ofc stock market and MF, what source would you recommend to get good hold on the topic? Looking for organized and genuinely good free resources and not the paid ones with somebody advertising to change the fortunes overnight.

Thank you.

A very good collection for someone who is new !
mine is maturing next week and am thinking where to invest it.
its already discontinued after feb this year they havent issued any fresh SGBs .
If you want to continue invested in Gold, you can sale it and then purchase Gold ETF. It would be easy to hold for long term. Holding phyically will have its own challenge and would not recommend unless someone really want to have it for some other purpose.
