I think it must have been an error. The lucid software is essentially a form of Optimus and as you said that needs a chipset with a display out, which P67 does not have. And H67 cant change the CPU multiplier, bloody Intel really shot themselves in the foot! Z68 is the only one which can do both, but its coming only in Q2(who knows when in Q2 that too, Q2 extends all the way till June! )iGo said:@hunt3r: I was also thinking on the sames lines (a la Z68)... but just read the article on TechReport about Lucid Softwares GPU virtualizer enabling QuickSync on P67 board. Can't provide the link, as it appears to be removed from the site (here is reference link to the same article on another site : Lucid software lets P67 mobos access QuickSync video | Hardware.Info Nederland).
Now, I am not sure if the article was pulled because of mis-information or any other legality, but if it's true then I think it's a good news for people like us who are waiting for Z68 for the same reason. However, I think it also could be a technical error (in the article) as P67 doesn't have any hardware provision to access on-die GPU. Guess it's back to the wait and watch game.
