Laptops with Quad SB's are already out in US. No signs of dual core ones. They will gradually roll them out once the current inventory runs out i guess.

There defnitely seems to be a typo in the P8P67 Deluxe price listed above.

Mostly 5-6% more approx i feel (eg. roughly 500-600 bucks for the P8P67 PRO).

Dual core's are coming only in mid Feb, thats what i remember reading in the Anandtech review. Inventory may be an issue, or the dual cores may just be behind the quads in production

Isn't it 12.5%? Hence the ~1k I mentioned.

But it would be great if the Deluxe actually came out at that price

Nope. For PC parts and mobile phones its 4% VAT in TN and 5% in places like Mumbai, Delhi etc... IINM the 12.5% VAT is applicable for home appliances.

Thanks for the heads-up. I always assumed 12.5% was applicable for all electronic items.
 
KK I called that shop again and he said she should have it by today . Loser telling me he doesn't have the prices yet and I'm like what ? So I'll update this thread when he tells me .

Do check on 2600K too, or you were checking for availability of that CPU only???

i called them .. he said hes not getting any confirmation from whereever he asked ... so he will call me when he gets any news ... but i doubt he will call me so ill call them again tomorrow :P
 
Just had a word with their customer care, 2600K is being shown on their website now, but it will be available only by February 1st or 2nd week as we all already knew
 
Yesterday i'd called up three shops in Lamington Road(Shree Semiconductors, PC Guide and McCann Infosys) and none of them have the LGA 1155 series processors. One of them said that it might take 2 weeks..i think it was Shree Semiconductors...

BTW as far as BitFang - Computer Store, Buy Computer Hardware, PC, Laptop & Electronics Online in India. is concerned...CHIP magazine puts up the latest computer component prices in its issues as per the prices on Bitfang...

The i5 series processors(2300,2500 n 2500K) and 1155 based M/B's have also come up on Bitfang..they were not there a few days back. I was regularly tracking bitfang and techshop for 1155 processors:)
Waiting for i7 2600K in lamington...hope i can keep waiting for some time else will have to go for i5 2500K(but no HT) which still is a better proc than the i7 950 or X6 1100T in most reviews.
 
Feb second week!! Thats a drag,

.... anyone has any clue about the Gigabyte motherboards? Pricing etc....

I saw the Asus update but somehow want a gigabyte this time around..UD5 seems nice if priced fine....
