Scene 1 : intel i3 9100f + gigabyte h110 + 8gb ram x1 + gt710 + 500gb Sata ssd
Sold to @Dhanush , through the reseller section of the marketplace, this thread.
Buyer received the package, informed that the package did not have the SSD and the GPU, asking maybe I've forgotten to put it into the box. He did share unboxing video as well. To my surprise, the box was in a terribly crushed state (which won't be possible as the inner part was fully packed with bubble wraps and brown paper). Also, once he opened the package, there was zero filling material (as seen on the video). Maybe I forgot to pack items into it, so I asked him to weigh the overall contents of the parcel, and it was around 800grams, while sending, it was 1200+grams.
Upon seeing the unboxing video several times, I noticed there was a big cut on the box from one side, which was partially visible on the video. I video called the buyer on whatsapp, and had it cleared, yes the box had a big cut, also the outer packaging plastic, similar state, but outer thing was taped up.
In the box, the mobo was packed with the cpu and stock cooler, in single span of bubble wraps, gpu + ram + io shield in another span, and ssd had its box, so i just kept it on the top (cherry on the cake). The thief has put in sufficient time to hurdle through all those bubble wraps and pull out only the SSD+ GPU, smart enough to leave the I/O shield behind.
This scene was informed to me on 4th June, the day the package got delivered.
I complained about the situation on icarry, they asked for packaging and unboxing videos, unboxing video was avl, but packaging video not avl. I tried to convince them by sharing package images which I took before dispatching (length, breadth, height, weight) and the images the buyer shared upon receiving the package. Now waiting for a reply.
Package value was mentioned Rs. 4500, and non insured shipment.

Scene 2 : Ryzen 3 2200g + A320m + 4gb ram x2

Sold to a business dealer from my whatsapp community, his billing pc died recently, so he needed a decent low cost cpu. Which I dispatched the same day he informed about his requirement, and the package got picked up next day.
It got delivered today, and he informed that the RAM sticks are missing. Mentioning maybe I've forgotten to pack it up. He did share the unboxing video as well.
This time, as soon as I played the video, with the first glance of the package, I was sure its some in-transit tampering that's going on. Cuz this time, the package tape, the plastic wraps, everything was messed up, label was partially flying on the box.
Saw the full video, found no bubble wraps inside, I remember to wrap his mobo with plastic wrap, then the ANTI STATIC PLASTIC POUCH, then bubble wraps. But in the video, it was just mobo in the anti static pouch. No fillers, no wraps, no RAM.
Asked him that why did he even accept the package despite it was in such a terrible condition, he replied saying he assumed that I might have packed it that way.
The inner part was packed really hard, so would take atleast 5minutes to have the mobo out of that stretchable transparent plastic wraps (ram was installed on the board).
Had a talk to iCarry again, on customer care helpline, they clearly said if no packaging video can be provided, they can't help.
Will try talking out to amazon logistics support team tomorrow.

Both cases, buyers were shared package images before dispatch, where the package looked completely different upon delivery.
Anyways, buyers not to be blamed, my fault that I never bothered making packaging videos, as been shipping via amazon for almost 2yrs now, never ever faced any issues.

The best I can do now is point at iCarry, the shipping mediator, or directly amazon.
But they will def try their best to deny any type of service to this situation.
Many people also saying that iCarry is the culprit, as they are mishandling the packages very often, hence their prices are lot lesser than shiprocket. In my opinion, this makes no sense, as iCarry is just the mediator, the package is picked by Amazon delivery guy, delivered by Amazon guy, goes through amazon transport, how come someone else be blamed here ?

My Future Aspects
I made another package, like earlier, mobo cpu ram cooler, to trap the iCarry team, as they were saying "WE NEED PACKAGING VIDEO", yes I made a complete uncut packaging video this time.
Booked to this 2nd guy, an old business contact of mine, via amazon shipping on icarry. Waiting for it to be picked up tomorrow.
Just hoping the theft happen again, and once this plan succeeds, Ima grab the neck of these iCarry freaks!

Dump Icarry and do Shiprocket instead. They have some good support and ensure to always insure your items esp. when multiples are packed in a single box and that they are electronics.
Also, never ever declare truly whats inside the box once you mention its some electronics thats where everyone gets greedy!
I always declare my items as toys irrespective of what it actually is.
Believe it or not but I have even shipped a gold jewellery but the package was insured as a security.
Lastly, always make a full-fledged packaging video right form the empty box till you fully tape it from outside and stick the label etc.

Btw whats your location?

I started my e-commerce business around January of this year, running on Amazon, Flipkart, and Meesho. Initially, things went well on all platforms, with exponential sales on Meesho due to an ad campaign. I was gradually getting returns via Shadowfax, Xpressbee, and Dhelivery, as Meesho doesn't own its shipment service and relies on third-party providers. However, almost 5 out of 10 shipments were tampered with, either sending damaged products or different items altogether. In my case, I only noticed tampering on returns. Recently, I also received two tampered returns on Amazon, where different items were sent instead. Flipkart's Ekart service was okay until now, but overall, the logistics have been disappointing.

I'm in awe of your situation; they're bold enough to tamper with the main line before it even reaches the customer, as for my cases happed during on returns. I hope your third attempt will catch them, and I hope my case gets fixed too. Surprisingly, even lower-tier couriers have become more reliable than some of the big names like Amazon.

Added Reference amazon tampered package.

I don't know if it is right to mention his exact town, but he is from West Bengal. My friend @Dhanush

it came from West Bengal to Chennai.

It took 7 days in transit, and We can't be sure who touched it

I have even shipped a gold jewellery
During the COVID period, I was doing something similar.

Important jewels belonging to my neighbor's relatives were left here. I used DTDC courier service, saying that there were medicines inside the box. There was no damage/scratches, and it reached the relatives safely.

I also suggest changing the name of the product inside the package. Try labeling it as toys or wooden products; I think they won't touch that.

I once inquired with dtdc what if someone ships an iphone claiming its just a normal item, they said we inspect whats inside and if someone comes at us with a packaged box we either tear it in front of him or the main branch tears it down and repacks. Now, if this later thing happened with @TechnologyHell then its a sheer hell of a nuisance created by amazon.

Not to say but Amazon is my default go to courier partner for whatever I have shipped across India for serviceable areas and it has never disappointed me. But off-late amazon is turning back from many areas, dont know whats the reason. Thus, I'm left experimenting with ekart etc. or if the buyer arranges its own shipping.

It is definitely Amazon shipping, i lost a processor when a seller shipped it to me with them. They had replaced the processor box with a toy. We tried consumer court but nothing helped.
I had to bear the loss as I was building a cheap PC from used parts for a kid to use for his studies. This happened almost 3 years back, surprising that it still hasn't changed.

My location is Siliguri, West Bengal
This is where I doubt the warehouse employees for the shipping

Had the same experience with amazon shipping, i selected amazon shipping because of their punctuality and no-nonsense service for the Amazon parcels
Buyer got something completely different, he had to bear a loss of around 1800 rs because shiprocket only refunded 2500 rs citing the package was not insured, it was a clear cut case of theft by delivery staff and not the usual lost or damaged in which case the 2500rs capping would be understandable but in a case where it was evident that their was tampering done with the package they should have refunded the entire amount
I wash lucky enough to have CCTV cameras installed in my building which helped me prove that i handed a small white packet to the pickup guy but buyer got a large brown box instead

Here is the post:

I believe that just as delivery companies share images of parcel incase of weight discrepancies they should capture and update the photo at each step in the logistics flow along with the xray scans which they must be already be doing anyways for obvious reasons

They do record the AWB with images and weight at each stop, but use it only to file weight discrepancy disputes against us, rather than actually use it for helping us.

Lucky you that shiprocket refunded you money
Did you have packaging videos too ?
