Actually his bike skidded as some say or he might have had a cardiac arrest ...

It is hard for me to believe such a young rider having a cardiac arrest in the mid of a race. Simoncelli was having issues with his bike whole weekend, not very sure but something like weight distribution on the bike. His bike slid while coming out of the corner and he didn't let go off the bike. That put him in the way of Edwards and Rossi and the outcome was a disaster.
MotoGP riders do not have any protection around their neck area and it looks from videos that Simo was hit around the neck area by Rossi. And I think the medical crew in MotoGP is one of the worst. They do not rush to help the riders when such incidents occur. Remember last time when Shoya Tomizawa was lying in the middle of the track for more than a minute and there was no one to help him. MotoGP race direction didn't even bother to stop the race. He died similarly to what Simo did.
