What makes a subscription model better than a proprietary model ? Why not open source the support as well? an open source product with paid add ons and customizations which are proprietary is just as bad
M$LUG? I was not aware that microsoft made linux. Agreed that there are Microsoft fanbois who cross the line, but just like that , there are linux Zealots , like you, who claim windows is the devil, and he is screwing everyone? If microsoft had not been there , they might not have had jobs in the first place. If there hadnt been a widely supported and reliable and easy to use GUI based OS like windows, there might not have been widespread computerization in the first place.
As I said, I have no issues with the FOSS philosophy. I just dont like the holier than thou attitude some of its misguided proponents assume for themselves

My reasoning is simple: Let those who want to *BUY* window$ buy.no problem.BUT - Let all governments worldwide enforce Free(As in Freedom) Operating Sytems like GNU/Linux as Desktop operating system wherever Possible.
reason : Operating system is the core platform which must not be dependent on a private corportation.
