I still dont get it how is benefited ? I have DSL 1333 1Mbps day reaches 1.15 Mbps in day and night 8PM - 8AM - 2Mbps.

To add MTNL never gives 2Mbps only 1.75Mbps
 
Well, I'm benefiting from this boost as my day speed was 1.13 Mbps & night was 1.344 Mbps. Now I have 8 hours of 2Mbps speed, FOR FREE. You wouldn't see me complaining. ;)
 
Are you getting full 2mbps or 1.75mbps ?

I guess this is expected right ? Getting in and around 2 Mbps ? Also i depends on multiple factors. So 1.88 Mbps on a 2Mbps line is pretty decent IMO.

Glitch....don't remind me of those golden days of MTNL unlimited when we subscribed tto 256kbps UL and got 2 Mbps for a very long time. I almost cried when they fixed it on a 15-Aug where they "upgraded" the 256 kbps plans to 512 kbps and in turn downgraded people like me from the glitch 2 Mbps to 512 Kbps.
 
Thats what i meant they only give 1.75 as through put in Mumbai.

And i still remember when i was on 12Mbps for 2 months on MTNL

by promotional offer till 5th Jan, 2013… does it mean that the night speeds, would go back to older speeds after 5th Jan ?
or does it just mean that this upgraded plan, won’t be available for more users ?
usually their wording is different .. this time they have mentioned this on their site:
