Nowhere close by the looks of it, even if we take 30% over a 2080 Ti (250w) for a 3080 (320w, so 28% more power) - that's nothing.

^^^^ thats when you have liquid cooling and Nvidia FE card , other aib cards have traditional design apart from galax or someone who has some clippon fan onto the backplate which follows nvidia FE design,

if air cooled cpu and nvidia FE card based design than have strong fans on top blowing air upwards (naturally hot air moves upwards) ,your rear fan also should pull air in ,blows over some air on vrms and onto the cpu cooler ,which lateron blows air upwards .In the front pull air inside the cabin .

liquid cooled rads in front and top would be pain if you have nvidia FE design ,Air coooling FTW

My 10 year old 800D has a nice intake right below on the mid plate and bottom for fresh cool filtered air :) and a unrestricted exhaust fan.
My rad is on top, thats the only place it will go, pulling fresh air in too.
Lotsa positive pressure to keep the dust out, and only one High RPM (ML140.PRO)exhaust fan

Big Navi finding it hard to beat 2080ti, with 2.2ghz core, n 16gb DDR6 (not ddr6X), and 256 bit memory bus. But its got something of a cache to help the ram.
But these are just leaks so far.

Also, 3080 oc results are not great either, on FE cards so far.
 
Excited to buy 3080!!! Will it be available in Nehru place Delhi on 17 Sep? BTW whats the warranty like on NVIDIA's founder edition cards?

I don't think this will be the actual market prices.
 
Yikes I think we're going to see a repeat of the crypto boom of 2017.
Ethereum prices have doubled in the past one month itself and Ampere is already rumored to have double the hashrate of the 2080 for mining eth, combine this with the usual artificial scarcity tactics and retailer price gouging and I see most gamers unable to get their hands on these gpu's before 2021.
