NVIDIA has informed AIBs that the plan is to release RTX 3060 Ti in the second half of October.
The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is equipped with GA104-200 GPU, featuring 4864 CUDA cores (exactly 1024 cores fewer than RTX 3070). It will share memory configuration with RTX 3070: 8GB of GDDR6 non-X memory clocked at 14.0 Gbps (with 448 GB/s maximum bandwidth).

And here is the BFGPU:

yep, I can see it happening here. nvdias official page for 20series shop is now down.
Did you happen to note the last available prices of the gpu's? I wonder if the general consumer will have access to it while they cut down the prices or if some private/retailers/third-party vendors will have already booked them. If it's the latter then it's going to suck for us. We need those prices to bargain/negotiate when getting secondhand 1x and 2x models. ;)
Big F to my cousin brother who bought the GTX 1080 during the height of mining and high price (I think he paid 40-45k) despite my warnings and later refusal to sell it off a month or so ago even after I insisted. What a big loss. I'm going to show when Nvidia officially cuts down the prices here lol. :tearsofjoy:

Either RDNA2 is not "really" a competition for 30xx series or nvidia want's to sell as much GPU as possible before the reveal of RDNA2.

Another 5 or 6 years we may have a budget gpu $100 which is will be as powerfull has the above picture with probably fanless variants.

I think Nvidia intentionally doesn't replace low tier gpu's just to keep the resale market alive which is why there is still a huge gap between the go-to gt710 and the xx50 cards.
The GTX 980 was released 6 years ago but we still don't have a fanless GPU with the same horsepower for under $100, instead we have the measly GT 1030 going for 7.5k.

Yes you'll be able to buy a 3080 level gpu for $100 in 5 years but it'll probably be an out of warranty used 3080 itself, 3090 for $100 ? That's overly optimistic, but then again I don't have a crystal ball and If someone had told us even 4 years ago that AMD will beat Intel in perf they'd been laughed at so you never know.

One thing is that there are no leaks for AMD RDNA2, like none at all. Either they do not care what Nvidia has to offer or they might have given up. I believe if they had something substantial, they would barged with the release date.
Nvidia launches RTX 3080 and AMD launches it competition.
Nvidia then launched RTX 3090 and AMD lands with a power bomb.

Could be that they are too much focused on console and think that is where the money lies.

I'd rather see them compete in the mainstream segment and put out a compelling replacement for the 570/580/590's unlike the meh 5500xt from last year, that's where the bulk of the sales lie which Nvidia has conquered/flooded with xx50/xx60 vanilla, TI's and Supers.
One doesn't expect much in the high-end from them going by their track record in the past few years with the likes of Fury and last year's VII.

Nvidia must have some insider knowledge about AMDs offering that might shake the balance, hence all the efforts. They probably don't want to end up like intel after getting BTFO by AMD. Thing to note is that they have yet to showcase the Titan for the 3XXX series (probably as the last nail in the coffin for AMD) or will they not have a Titan?.

100% with you right there

I honestly feel AMD has nothing to offer in terms of the performance from 3090 but as Infected stated earlier, I'm all in for Nvidia to get BTFO by AMD. Also from what I had heard/read somewhere, they are not actually getting a good margin on those deals with Xbox and PS5.

Competition is always good for consumers and it's looking like a great time to buy both used and new tech.

Yeah me too, as much as I want AMD to do better than Nvidia I don't think they will be able to match the new 3x. Not to forget Nvidia still has their Ti's and Supers and what not. Crazy. Not to forget AMD's serious pricing issues here in India. And I honestly don't know how long the "VFM" will work for them. But hey I'm no economist or market expert.
Btw my guess for the new 3x would be 55k for the 3070 single fan (if any), 60k for dual-fan and even higher for more premium variants.

Some Japanese YT channel has released an unbox video of different models of 3080.

I hope AMD pulls a Ryzen like with RDNA2 with their GPU.

IF the card is single fan than ithink it would be a ceiling fan attached to it.

Jokes Apart

The logic of RTX 3000 pricing and launch

They wanted to undercut XBOX and PS users but failed as microsoft has already announced the prices within days

-If you call those who purchased RTX20 series Lab rats ,than one who would be buying RTX 3000 are the Beta testers.i cannot comment that they have bad architecture unfortunately they are let down by chip manufacturer SAMSUNG they make great memory dies but not the processing chip overall their 8nm is not that efficient on power + no stable higher clocks and temperature issues.

to understand the real world example ,Samsungs top of the line smartphones have EXYNOS chip an Snapdragon ships ,some countries get SD & some EXYNOS , the performance gap is clearly is visible SD scores higher than exynos and has less temperature .Who makes SD its TSMC who makes Exynos its samsung. Samsung doesnt sell exynos in S korea in their top of phones how paradoxial

-AMD might not be able to surpass it or match it or may be they will ,but it will compensate us with higher VRAM ,efficient chip with a mature chip with maybe a good high stable FREQ. anthe performnce gap to nvidia would be 10-15 frames.

-Nvidia at some point next year will switch to TSMC for the chips (as the fabrication slot will open up) for upgraded RTX 3000 series with higher vram and maybe a montrosity named TITAN might be launched.

not an AMD fanboy but i assume radeon was a step back becasue they wanted to take a jump .

Microsoft - We have shown everything we had and also released prices.
Nvidia - We feel sorry for the 2080Ti owners but will not compensate them but we will price this gen cheaper.
PS5 - Holding on to their cards
AMD - meh meh meh !!

A 25-30% uptick in performance over the 2080 Ti overall, impressive for people upgrading from 10xx but not really all that for someone with a 20xx card - it's a 2x jump over a 2060, not a 2080. 2080 Ti owners should be happy with this!

Not interested in these card vs card fps bench. New version will always give more fps.

I wanna see that 1.9 perf/watt claim by nvidia.

But from the leaks, its not the case.
