Scalping might affect the pricing but I would like to see how other 8Gig older cards crash as this comes into market and would be interesting thing to watch for.

Again whatever I'm assuming might be just pure speculation that I might have cooked it myself.

I know but sadly given the mining scenario it doesn't matter because any card above 4GB VRAM is going to be scalped and will be sold according to mining profit margins.
