^ Hehe, PM either me or bottle and we'll update your post :)

BTW, just thought i'd mention - i've noticed you guys are using tweaked/patched versions of SuperPI optimized for either Prescotts/SSE3 instructions :p. IMO, that doesnt give a level playing field.

lol, i was thinking that wasnt fair BUT the only thing the patch does is make full use of the P4's SSE3 instruction.....i mean....its not cheating, there are still 1 million digits of pi :) and thats the whole point...how fast u can calculate pi to 1M

heh yeah, its talking advantageof what the CPU can do. I am using the same patched SSE3 superpi. same as the prescott superpi. Takes advantage of SSE3 in venice and SD.

HoHo ! Lotsa action here ! Sorry for the late post; wasn't in a position to log in though was able to take occasional sneak peeks.

Thanks much Eddy for the post - saved me the hassle of hunting the forum for it.

Darky ! you'll smoke all the scores here if you manage to stabilize on the 166 divider.

And crank up the clock on that Sandy Funky !

LOL Kev ! Nice to see you back - and with your shiny new Intel. And are you choking with emotion seeing all the AMDs in action :p ?

On Eddy's comment about the "level playing field", I think it deserves some merit because it is in line with the current practice in other very active and well maintained sites such as XtremeSystems, i4memory, and HardForum (Kev's fav) which all seem to have standardized upon SuperPi Mod / 1.4 for Intel and AMD users alike since it gives millisec resolution, has anticheat/checksum validation, and makes it easier for comparison against big databases. In fact, many of the forums will not accept scores based on the patches. AnandTech does, but they clearly mark it as "SSE2/SSE3 patched".

And to me anything really is fine as long as it is easier with the mods and is popular with everyone.

Also, if I could make some suggestions:

1. Arrange the format as:

username spi_time cpu_speed make model cooling RAM make model

2. Make it Top 10 (atleast) instead of 5 so that more people will have a sense of participation.

Suggestions implemented, have updated the first post. Those guys not using SuperPI mod 1.4, please re-test and post back.

On another note, how about getting everyone involved instead of just the top 10? (though I guess that would mean more work :p )

Well i can still get 29 sec using superpi mod 1.4 :p

Just needed to crank it up 50 more Mhz without SSE3 usage.

I cannot crank up the clock on my processor much more than 2.8 due to PSU. The volage rails start to drop after 2.8. I kept the everest running and 3.3 dropepd below 3.1v, 5V dropped to 4.5 and PC rebooted. Thats where the problem is.

I will get better PSU soon as i am on powersafe now temperorily until i get TP II 550.
