Yes truly fed up with HDFC ...and looking out for good banks...i have applied for B2 lets see how it works out...

Unable to use netbanking on major telecom website....vodafone mtnl and reliance....its been two mnths and several emails and phone calls ...all they have to say is the system are upgrading....dnt if they are building the next supercomp or wat.. ?? and even the netsafe cards facility is failing...and i think only hdfc doesnt has a toll free no...its all local nos for CC which dnt have adequate lines. so half of time u get engaged tone rest of the time u can never get a agent....and dnt even get me started on their stupid policies for loan and other stuff..had a bad exp there...compare FD rates with other banks and u would know where hdfc bank stands..

This week I visited HDFC near to my locality for opening a Regular Saving A/C & I instantly got an hold of a form. I found their website info is very old.

1.According to their site this branch is open in Sunday, but which is not. (disappointment)
2.Average Quarterly Balance is 10k (According to Web)Now it is 5k,Some place Probably in rural areas 2.5k clearly sated in the form.
3.As stated web, 50k FD if user wants No Balance Restriction in their A/C, which is now 25k and interest rate is 7% for 1 Year.

There was No Frills A/C too in the form...which is everything Nil.

Now I'm interesting about having one.

:2guns:hdfc,axis etc have no-frills account only in websites and forms.I was trying to get a no frills account last week and got lame excuses from these banks like:"this facility is not available in our branch" or "No-frills account no longer exists":@ Going for SBI, its 1k min balance is the lowest in metro cities.

will online shopping --READ Ebay be possible if i were to apply for SBI debit card with mastercard/visa? how much do i have to pay for a Mastercard/Visa debit card?

Yes the SBI Yuva Visa Debit Card will be accepted online at any site supporting Verified by Visa which includes eBay :) I'm not sure about the fee, but you need to specifically mention that you need a Yuva Visa Debit Card when you apply for the card.

There is no anuual fee for SBI Yuva Card...But the problem is it's not available in all branches. You may need to go to local head branch for this. As did I..!!

Different bank charges different annual fee for Visa/Master Debit Card. But SBI Yuva Visa Card is free.

You dont have to pay anything for that card, if at all it might be 50 bucks per year. There are three types of debit cards by SBI, two are VISA and one is MASTERCARD. One of those VISA cards is the YUVA VISA card. They'll mostly ask you to fill a form and submit it, after which the card arrives in around 10 days. At my branch, the form was just a photocopied piece of paper where i had to mention my account details and write "SBI YUVA VISA card" at the top. Because if you dont, you'll get another of their standard Maestro debit cards.

All branches offer this card, if not then talk to the manager, but that wont even be needed.

No buddy. All the branches not covers this card. I asked for a Yuva Card on my branch....and they were like..."what's that??" Instead they told me...SBI offers only two card..1. Debit Card - The ATM-cum-Debit card that I already have and 2. Credit Card.

Now what would you say..!! I was like WTF..!! They didn't even know what a debit card is....I asked them "yes I've that ATM card, but I want Visa Debit card" and they answered me "That Visa one is Credit Card...they are not Debit cards....debit cards are never Visa".

And when I said SBI do offers Debit Cards(other than that ATM Card) and Debit Card can be Visa they showed me the Drop Box and asked me to read what's written. I said that's Drop Box and that's for Credit Card. And I'm asking for Debit Card. I think they god fed-up of my noobishness.

Well...According to you I'll try to see my Branch Manager tomorrow. Lets see what happens.

Thats nonsense mate, show those people at the branch the SBI site where they have listed out all the different debit cards given out by them. Them saying that their branch does not offer the card is one thing, but saying that the card does not exist is totally stupid and irrational.
Anyways, seeing the branch manager should sort things out. I just hope he/she doesnt sing the same tune as the people who told you all the BS.

If you have applied for the YUVA, then you will get that card only. Its a VISA based card, looks like this.

ICICI still didn't contacted me for B2. It's been more than a month. What to do guys??

@arjpillai Ya, after reading your comments I think I must see Branch Manager tomorrow. Lets see what happens.

^ Call them (ICICI) up and provide them the account number you got on completing the online request. Else provide the phone number you used during account creation and they will send someone.

I just called them up and they said they are really sorry as it's been 2 months and they didn't took any action and CC guy said he's forwarding a Complaint to Sales Manager and may be he/she will call me up and will come to collect the Documents within 3days. Lets see what happens. Now it's turn to get back to SBI for the Yuva Card. :)

^^Thanks buddy :)

Guys, I went to see Branch Manager at SBI today for the Yuva Card. I don't believe, he's also not aware of that card. He never heard of that card in his life and says "who told you that Meastro is not accepted globally?" After a lot of coversation on this he said me "We've International Debit Card and Gold Card". I thought that, I wont be getting Yuva Card and after talking to Cash Manager, I was glad that at least he knows about it or you can say I was glad at least he heard about that card at least knows the name. But he's saying it's only for Yuva A/c and to get that card I need to maintain a balance above Rs. 5000/-

After he said this I guessed he might be talking about some other card. So I want to know is this true??? Is he really talking about Yuva Card?? When I said him that nothing like this is mentioned on their site, he says maybe it's not updated or mentioned but he can show me the conditions paper. So what you guys(Yuva Card holder) say??

I already told you earlier you have to contact the b2 sales manager of your area, even now nothing will happen unless you contact the sales manager yourself .

Thanks, But how would I get his/her contact number?? I got the customer care number from B2 webiste. Any possibilites if I visit nearest Branch??

And can anyone please confirm the SBI one??

I'd like to know one more thing....If I don't get the Yuva Card, can I register my existing ATM-cum-Debit Card(Meastro) here - https://cardsecurity.enstage.com/ACSWeb/EnrollWeb/SBI/main/index.jsp

Will I get the same facility??
